Taking aim at Democrats' all-white ticket, Charles Barron founds Freedom Party to challenge them

Brooklyn Councilman Charles Barron said Monday his new minority-led Freedom Party got enough signatures to get on the statewide ballot against the Democrats' all-white ticket.

"No longer are we going to allow the Democrats to take the black vote for granted," Barron said at a rally on the steps of Brooklyn Borough Hall, in front of stacks of petitions with what he said were 43,500 signatures needed to gain entry on the ballot this fall.

"This party is a black- and Latino-led party that is open up to everybody," said Barron. "If we take care of blacks and Latinos, the state will be better off."

Barron is the party's candidate for governor, with Eva Doyle of Buffalo running for lieutenant governor and Ramon Jimenez of the Bronx for attorney general.

All of the Democrats' statewide candidates are white except for Gail Goode, running a longshot campaign against Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand.

Former city Controller William Thompson, the Democratic candidate for mayor last year, said on behalf of the Cuomo campaign that it should be judged on its policies - and the array of people it appoints to state positions.

"I'm confident that Andrew Cuomo is going to have a diverse administration," said Thompson, who is African-American.

Alton Maddox, the disbarred attorney who represented Tawana Brawley, helped organize the petitioning process for the Freedom Party, Barron said.

He said he doubts anyone will challenge their signatures, and expects to face the Democrat Andrew Cuomo in gubernatorial debates this fall.

"Anybody who challenges these petitions obviously wants to keep the state all-white," Barron said. "If they try to say we're some fringe organization and we can't be in the debates, we're going to break the door down!"

Brooklyn Councilman Lew Fidler promised to challenge Barron's petitions if no one else does, saying a race-based political party is abhorrent.

"It's going to be horrible to give this guy a dignified platform," Fidler said. "He's very charming, but that's what makes him dangerous."

Barron's alone is nuts but when he teams with Alton Maddox, the disbarred attorney who represented Tawana Brawley it becomes looney tune time.

Hmmmm... I didn’t come away with that “charming” impression, myself.

Ah yes the freedom party.

Does it include the freedom to slap white people?

Only black people are allowed to talk like that, because black people are “different”. But it’s not racism.

Allow me to translate. “Charlie Rangel got multiple apartments, a Washington DC townhouse and a beach villa in the Dominican Republic all on the public dime. Now I’m gonna get me some.”

“No longer are we going to allow the Democrats to take the black vote for granted,”

...could this possibly wake up a few disilusioned blacks and turn up as a positive? Would it just secure their vote for any black man or woman that runs with “D” next to their name? Will it keep them at home on election day to avoid voting for the cracker?

“...take the black vote for granted....?”

Bwahahahahaha..

The dim-bulb-crats have bought and paid for the black votes many many times over...and they’re quite proud of keeping blacks on the plantation where they cannot get real jobs, grow wealthy, and start voting conservative...which they would naturally do as soon as they figured out the ‘crats are RATS.

The Dems won’t be happy if this takes hold, it’ll split some of the vote. LOL!

Split the Dims with even more radical Leftists. The Dims are due for a good old fashioned shake down. Now, this is the kind of third party that I like.

Baarron is, was, has always been a nut. Give him enough rope and...................

(yea, I realized the stereotype of that ending, in this case, as soon I started to type it, but, in Barron’s case it’s just a coincidence and not a racial slur in my motive or intent).

He ought to meet a REAL CONSERVATIVE GOP black female candidate for the US 9th district Tennessee. She has the guts to take on Memphis.
