MWANZA, Tanzania, Aug. 20 (UPI) -- A Kenyan man has been sentenced to 17 years in prison for tying to sell an albino to witch doctors, officials say.
Nathan Mutei was convicted of one count of trafficking in a human being and another for abduction with the intent to murder, a Kenyan newspaper, The Daily Nation, said Friday.
Investigators said Mutei, 28, convinced 20-year old Robinson Mkwama he was going to help him find a job, but he really meant to sell him to witch doctors who planned to cut him up and use his body parts in ceremonies.
Mutei he only wanted to get money from Mkwama and that he didn't plan to kill him, In court Mutei said he had been under the spell of a witch doctor.
Investigators said Mutei went to Tanzania in June in search of a witch doctor wanting to purchase an albino, and that he later convinced Mkwama to go there with him.
Mutei's customer later decided he didn't want to go through with the transaction and notified police, the report said.
They do this kind of stuff in the enlightened Kenya?

IIRC Albino/Absence of melanin is due to a faulty gene.
How strange that there is no (reverse)melanin disorder that would cause a white-skinned person to have dark skin.
