One of the job stewards down here (not my husband’s local, but knows him) his son was killed on 9/11. People can scream this is a local issue, it’s not.

This is a situation like nothing else we’ve seen. All it takes is for one local up there to refuse to work and the job is shut down. It’s highly unusual for Conservatives to support anything Union - in this case we’ve got to support the members who will not work this job and help them put pressure on the leadership.

I was a member of ironworkers union in Chicago Local 1 years ago. Local 40 New York is just as strong. They won't and should not work on it.

People can scream this is a local issue, it’s not.Of course it's not, it's a deliberate insult to our whole nation.

Any ideas on what an average citizen outside NY can do to show support for the union members refusing to build, or to encourage the undecideds?
