I do not see in the article where Bloomberg said “We are all Muslims.” The article quotes him as saying “let me declare that we in New York are Jews and Christians and Muslims, and we always have been. And above all of that, we are Americans, each with an equal right to worship and pray where we choose. There is nowhere in the five boroughs that is off limits to any religion.”
His last sentence is in error. The ACLU and courts have seen to it that all government space is off limit to all religions.

As for myself i am Catholic. I may respect other faiths but only those deserving of my respect. Islam isn’t on that list but then again claiming that it’s a religion doesn’t make it so.
To those like Bloomberg who would call me ignorant (or whatever term they may choose) for making that claim I say to him,to them,that no religion has within its sacred tests rules for ruling over over faiths nor treating half the human race like some farm animal nor encouraging the use of children for pleasure. These are the things associated with barbarians,with the ignorant,with the morally deficient.
Never again take it upon yourself Mr Mayor to tell people that i am in any way associated with muslims in way shape or form.
I believe a shrill silence in this sense means their reluctance to condemn the protesters,to speak up in favor of the mosque is actually screaming their opposition to it. In effect applying an action to inaction.
