Uh oh: Top NRSC lawyer headed to Alaska to advise Murkowski?

DISASTER!!

~SNIP~

Sean Cairncross, the general counsel of the National Republican Senatorial Campaign Committee, is headed to Alaska at the request of Sen. Lisa Murkowski to help provide guidance to the GOP incumbent finds herself trailing attorney Joe Miller by roughly 1,600 votes…

Committee sources insisted that too much should not be read into Cairncross’ presence in Alaska — only that the NRSC is an incumbent-retention committee and, as such, provides assistance when Senators ask for it.

Let me get this straight. After taking loads of abuse from the grassroots for endorsing Charlie Crist before Rubio’s campaign got off the ground, and with Murkowski already pointedly refusing to rule out a third-party bid if Miller’s (shrinking) lead holds up, John Cornyn and the NRSC are … sending their top lawyer to help her out? And framing it explicitly in terms of retaining incumbents? Do they really have no idea of how bitterly ferocious the backlash will be among the Republican base — especially, but not only, among Palin’s supporters — if they’re seen as tilting the election to Murkowski?

Yes they do and no they don't care. We are nothing to them.

I hope she gets into a lot of trouble if she pulls this leftist trick.

Joe Miller won. She should go home and forget it.

Okay this is what I was told. Murkowski called the NRSC to lend counsel to the recount. It was not known if Miller has counsel. I asked if they realize this is a Rep. primary, no dems involved? NRSC is not endorsing either but being there for recount. I asked if Miller had requested assistance would NRSC be involved. she did not know. I asked that going in behalf of Lisa were they endorsing Lisa, No she said but she said it sure looks like it doesnt it, lol. Can you believe it. I said yes it does. Have a good day.

Alaska has a sore loser law. Murkowski can’t run as an indepedent. Once the count is finished and if Miller is still ahead, then she is finished too, period.

The GOP should remember what happened to the Whig party. There is a train leaving the station. It’s called Conservative Principles. Be on it or be gone.

The NRSC mossbacks would rather have the Democrat win, and he will if the TEA partiers are disenfranchised, than have their establishment candidate lose. That’s why we don’t give a nickle to the Republican party but contribute to conservative candidates who need our donations.

Here’s a good one for you. John Cornyn is my Senator. I called his local office here in Houston. I was told I would have to leave a comment at the NRSC as they can not discuss at this office anything campaign related. I am assuming I can only leave a comment at the NRSC.

Sorry, I just laughed at her while thanking her for no help.

Yes, Murkowski had to request the counsel.

The counsel is there to represent Murkowski's interest.

This much clearly spelled out in the in snippet I posted:

Look, you can’t just kick her out the door. Then you’re encouraging her to go 3rd party, and yes she can go third party by running on the Libertarian ticket.

They are sending people there to assure her she’s being treated fairly, and maybe promise her help if she runs against the Dem senator in 2014. People need to stop panicking here and jump to conclusions.

The ‘elites’ do not understand this. They do not realize how expendable they are.

To be fair; I did call NRSC and talked to a live person. I don’t think they want to hear us; but I made my comment against this anyway.
