I like Brett Schundler and Chris Christie. I agree, Just Damn.
Dick Swett was one of those Harry-Reid-type “pro-life” Mormons: he actually voted pro-abortion on 16 of the 21 votes he took in Congress. http://nchla.org/keyresults.asp?state=&locale=checkcongper&congper=Swett&zip=&plusfour=&year=1989&year2=1995&issue=&terms=-1&bills=-1&vote=&displaysize=10&displaystarts=1&displaystarth=1&submit=Search+Key+Votes
Yes, Katrina Swett is trying again to win the NH-02 (she didn’t come close in 2002, and may not even win the primary this time). She’s definitely not pro-life, nor a Mormon, for that matter (her father was Democrat Congressman Tom Lantos of California).
I love Bret Schundler too! A great man to stick to his guns and not chase after the Federal dole like a trollop. A great man to refuse to commit Hari Kari for the sake NOT getting an abysmally hobbling highly constrained Federal grant.
A man TRULY committed to education and against destoying it.
Christies’ fine up to point, but at core: an elite Rino, too. Willing to be the trollop for hire.
To all the non-New Jerseyans who are tempted to call for Christie 2012, just know that I doubt you’d agree with him on immigration, not one iota. Then there were his comments on the mosque.
I do admire how he means what he says and says what he means, BUT he’s not good on EVERYthing.
This is so sad. Schundler is an incredible conservative and completely turned around Jersey City in the same way Christie is doing to the state. Tough one.
Amen! And why Christie’s putting on the trollop’s purple glitter mascara here, flickering his painted eyelids at and begging the Obama to her boudior for a nice “Federal Grant”.
A real man, a real leader, would have taken the stance that NJ doesn’t need no stinkeen Federal money stolen from taxpayers.
New York got the big one even though their test scores had dipped. You can bet only Democrat-run and states like Ohio that are toss-up electoral states “qualified”.
> Katrina Swett ... her father was Democrat Congressman Tom
> Lantos of California
AGGGHHHH!!!
I had forgotten that factoid!
Can’t get more anti-gun communist than Lantos.
As a holocaust survivor, he ought to have known better, but, like I said, being a Leftist does something to your brain chemistry.
Something like what happens to MoHamHeads.
Yeah, whoa! Nobody fires anybody any more in this wussified age.
With him on the east coast & Jan Brewer in the SW, we are starting to get some spines stiffened, it seems.
I think Calif is also in the NO category. A R governor now & very possibly will be again after Nov. Jerry brown is a total re-run who claims he has less than $1 million to campaign with & NObama is pleading with Dem donors to give Jerry money.
Re Jerry Brown: You can only recap a tire so many times......then the carcass is junk.
Especially when there are alternatives like home schooling and private schools (at 50% the cost).”
Since the Districk of Criminals is spending upwards & over $25,000 per pupil, I will bet you hard money & a prime rib dinner that home schooling & most private schools are less than 1/2 of that cost. Friend in Los Angeles has his kid in private school—along with paying about $6000 in property taxes which support the public schools which he does NOT use. His cost for a very good private school is just about $700 a month. $700 times 9 ++ months still doesn’t come to more than $7000 annually. $25,000 per pupil is obscene & the end product in the District of Criminals is deplorable.
Tell me about it. In the Sacramento area, we paid double (tax and private school) for 15 years.
Now my daughters are asking me for advice on where to live, and is the income sufficient? One of them wants to live in the SF bay area. My, advice is to go for it, but don't plan to raise children there unless they plan on having a mid six figure household income.
My wife and I moved to the Denver area where it is possible to send children to public schools. Plus the property taxes are reasonable.
At this point, America needs to get her financial house in order. Gov. Christie seems more than capable of doing it. (From what I have seen, just to clarify.)
I hear ya. The only problem is that NJ taxpayers have always paid far more to the Feds than NJ has ever received in return. (Many other states receive far more from the Feds than they send in.) And it will always be that way, thanks to the progressive tax system.
So, accepting federal funds is like NJ asking for only a little bit of that money back. But, I hear ya. Part of me is glad NJ won't be receiving the funds. NJ not qualifying for the funds has much less to do with the few points lost due to an error and much more to do with the many more points lost in other areas.
Oh, I’m pretty happy, no question. Just sayin’
And if our financial house isn’t put to rights soon, the rest of it won’t be worth anything anyway.
There’s every excuse in the world, I know that from when I had some dealings with mob-related people. Just say NO!
Work the money flow problem out the proper way.
What’s painful about this NJ situation is Conservatives are SUCH a “SCARCE COMMODITY” in the public sector arena - it’s HARD, if they get canned for even the smallest infraction, and canned IMMEDIATELY.
Meanwhile, ‘RATS walk around FOR DECADES in public sector jobs committing major regulatory offenses and felonies - and never get canned/fired/ousted.
It’s just painful to watch. So many corrupt Rats, so FEW fiscal conservatives trying to make ‘a dent’ in Central PLanning.
