Cordoba Mosque Developer's Run-ins with Cops and Money Problems

The New York Daily News reports Sharif El-Gamal, the developer of the Cordoba Mosque has had 7 run ins with the law and money difficulties:

Years before his latest real-estate project ignited an uproar, Sharif El-Gamal racked up at least seven run-ins with the law, including a bust for patronizing a prostitute.

"I regret many things that I did in my youth. I have not always led a perfect life," El-Gamal, 37, said in a statement to the Daily News.

His most recent arrest was for a Sept. 10, 2005, assault on a barber who sublet a Manhattan apartment from El-Gamal's brother, Sammy.

The brothers and another man went to the apartment that afternoon to retrieve back rent from Mark Vassiliev, criminal and civil court records show.

El-Gamal allegedly cursed at Vassiliev, called him the Arabic curse word "sharmouta" and punched him in the face, breaking his nose and cheekbones.

Now he tells us. Ohaha's the consummate con man----what he left off his resume is astounding.

According to the Cook County Assessor’s website, the Chicago home of four-term Democrat Congressman and new White House Chief of Staff, Rahm Emanuel, doesn’t exist.

While the address of 4228 North Hermitage is listed as Emanuel’s residence on the Illinois State Board of Elections’ website, there seems to be no public record of Emanuel ever paying property taxes on this home…

Why would 4228 North Hermitage property owners Rahm Emanuel and wife Amy Rule not pay property taxes? Because Emanuel and Rule declared their 4228 North Hermitage home as the "office" for their tax-exempt non-profit foundation called the “Rahm Emanuel and Amy Rule Charitable Foundation”.

As a non-profit "office," they apparently consider their home exempt from taxes.

<><><> This same Chicago tax assessor that finagled Rahm's taxes, once carried the home of amnesty whore Cong Luis Guiterrez (D-Ill) (a former cab driver) on the tax rolls as a "vacant lot. He stupidly argued---- after the story became public----that Guiterrez should not be penalized for a "clerical error." This came after Guiterrez paid minimal taxes for years and years...... b/c Guiterrez' home was listed as a vacant lot.

Cong Ciro Rodriguez has a history of cursing and yelling at people who disagree with him. It shows how much contempt he has for the people of his district and their concerns about the economy, exploding federal deficits, and reckless government growth. This is not the first time Rep. Ciro Rodriguez has lost his temper while answering questions from constituents. He has gone so far as to curse in front of children while at townhall meetings.
