Mary Jo didn’t DROWN, she suffocated in an air pocket in the back seat.... she was alive after the crash and he left her there in the cold and the dark to slowly suffocate.
He is evil, and no amount of rewriting will change that.
Think about it...if JFK had been 20 years older, or his wife had been plain, or he hadn’t been assasinated, would there be a “Camelot”?
He certainly had sense enough to get his sorry a$$ back to shore.
Anyway, they can't wipe it out of the newspaper archives, YET.

This may be the opening lesson of a tutorial in how to pick a turd up by the clean end.
The Navy’s BUDS school at one time had a training schedule that listed “Ted Kennedy Drills” as a training evolution. This intense evolution involved entering the pool undressed and then putting on ones BDU’s while treading water. Don’t know when or if this has been renamed.....
There was an excellent documentary done on this. The police chief of the town said that he believed that Kennedy was not in the car at the time of the accident. The retired police chief said that an officer patroling the area where the accident happened called in on his police radio reporting that there was a large park parked in the dark. When he drove by the car took off.
The police chief believed that after the officer drove by, Kennedy got out of the car and Mary Jo drove the car. This makes sense since Kennedy was probably drunk and would not have wanted to be caught driving drunk.
“In interviews following the crash, Kennedy displayed confusion and amnesia, he says.” You mean a lot like being totally blitzed and not remembering what happened.

His several follow-up statements still don’t ring true, and, they’re still out there regardless of what revisionist historian changes ....
Damore’s book is also very readable, I literally could not put it down except when I had to.
Before his supposed “tremendous blow to the head” Teddy turned off a two lane paved road on to a small unpaved road and drove off a bridge.
After his “blow to the head” he supposedly walked back to the party to meet with his advisers, made dozens of phone calls to his attorney and other advisers, supposedly made several dives attempting to rescue Mary Joe, supposedly swam from the island back to the mainland against the tide and appeared in the lobby of the hotel calm, composed and in dry clothes and talked to the desk clerk.
I don't think anyone is dumb enough to believe Hersh's story but the slimeballs keep making stuff up.
If I recall correctly Kennedy said He WAS in the car so no it doesn’t make sense if that is true.
An utter load of absolutely unconscionable bollocks by a man who clearly cannot seem to get his lips removed from the Kennedy arse - even in death.
