In that case they probably had their laptops out to prepare a powerpoint presentation about lawn care or something and some flight attendant overheard them arguing in Arabic about BULLET points and freaked out. It’s happens all the time to empty suits on aircraft who still believe that powerpoint is an effective presentation tool despite all evidence to the contrary.
