I was at the rally and also noticed his use of the plural “gods” instead of God. I even looked around to see if anyone else had heard the same thing. My concern is that in our rush to get out in front of God and “save” our nation we compromise His Word to be “inclusive”. In John 14:6 we are told that “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” We can certainly have a big tent politically but as far as salvation is concerned...
“But small is the gate and narrow is the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.”
During his time in Athens, Paul was disturbed by an altar bearing
the inscription: “To The Unknown God.” Sadly, I see that altar as
a picture of today’s America. Our diversity culture seeks to adopt
all “truth” into one collective truth so that there ultimately is
no real truth.
