I am a Mormon and I like Beck for what he says and does, not because he is a Mormon. I don’t like Romney or Harry Reid because of what they say and do, not because they are Mormon.

I can make a list where the Bible uses the term gods too. But, the Bible is still the word of God no matter what I think it means. Just like Glen Beck’s rally CAN still be the work of God no matter what was said in the prayer. Is it the work of God? Maybe, maybe not. I personally believe anything that promotes faith, hope, charity, and freedom is of God.

Genesis 3:5
For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.
Genesis 3:22
And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of US, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever.
(The only beings in existence are the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, Satan, and Adam and Eve. Satan says gods and God says Us.)

Exodus 15:11
Who is like unto thee, O LORD, among the gods? who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?

Exodus 18:11
Now I know that the LORD is greater than all gods: for in the thing wherein they dealt proudly he was above them.

Deuteronomy 10:17
For the LORD your God is God of gods, and Lord of lords, a great God, a mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward:

Joshua 22:22
The LORD God of gods, the LORD God of gods, he knoweth, and Israel he shall know; if it be in rebellion, or if in transgression against the LORD, (save us not this day,)

Your examples are not applicable to how this pastor was using the word "gods".

Nowhere does God tell anyone to pray to the "gods".

In fact, to pray to the "gods" is forbidden in the Bible.

As far as Adam and Eve and the reference to "gods"...the interpretation is clearly that they now knew the difference between good and evil. That's the ONLY way they have become like God. I know your religion teaches you something different. Sorry...Mormons will NOT be gods someday. No way. That's false.
