Get set for big premium hikes
NY Post ^ | September 12, 2010 | Betsy McCaughey

President Obama is boast ing that his new health law provides "free" preventive care, such as mammograms and colonoscopies. But when you open your mail, you'll find out that's untrue; all he's doing is making you pay for it in advance.

The government isn't going to force you to get a colonoscopy, but being forced to pay for one feels almost the same.

Millions of Americans are getting notices that their premiums are going up to pay for changes required under the ObamaCare law. Section 2713 of the law requires that those premiums include the full cost for such preventive services as Pap smears, mammograms and smoking-cessation programs. Obama's "free" really just means you won't have a co-pay if you decide to get that service. But it's not free -- merely prepaid. When a restaurant charges you $25 for the all-you-can-eat buffet, it can't claim dessert is "free."

Another reason premiums are soaring this fall is the rapid rise in Medicaid enrollment, now up to a record 50 million people nationwide. When Medicaid rolls expand, it's a double whammy for the rest of us; our taxes go up and so do our premiums.

If we retain access to unrestricted health care, we’ll be doing well!

The bills, of course, will increase exponentially, but, as noted, insurance isn’t access.

If you’re on the “older” side, you should be paying very close attention. If you’re younger, get prepared for the bills.

The spin on this will be “The insurance companies are just raising rates now to make bonuses and take huge profits before the health care bill kicks in”.

All this would come to a screeching halt, if those responsible would demand a birth cert. from 0’b instead of continuing to aid and abet treason.

---------------------------------

The smoking gun is the feeble effort to 'bamboozle' America with the phony birth document (Certification of Live Birth) he put up on his web site. That should have brought an FBI visit for forging a birth certificate.

The Certification of Live Birth form is not definitive.

He and his administration think Americans are idiots. They know that you are waiting for the piss-stream media to tell the truth but it ain't ever going to happen.

Clueless Obama-1sm

Preventative medicine sounds good, but not if it results in 20 and 30 somethings getting procedures they don’t really need. That is expensive and wasteful. Its actually a triple whammy because many people & businesses are on the edge right now and they can’t afford these increases.

WSJ: Sebelius Has a List - Political thuggery from HHS
Wall Street Journal ^ | September 13, 2010

‘As a consequence of us getting 30 million additional people health care, at the margins that’s going to increase our costs—we knew that,” President Obama said at his press conference Friday in response to a question about rising health spending.

That wasn’t how he sold the plan, but, anyway, that’s a truism. Here’s another: The White House was always going to blame insurance companies for any cost increases, even when its own policies cause them.

Witness Kathleen Sebelius’s Thursday letter to America’s Health Insurance Plans, the industry trade group—a thuggish message even by her standards. The Health and Human Services secretary wrote that some insurers have been attributing part of their 2011 premium increases to ObamaCare and warned that “there will be zero tolerance for this type of misinformation and unjustified rate increases.”

ALL of my friends are seeing huge premium increases right now... I mean HUGE! I locked in for three years with NO increase... they will probably cancel my insurance for some arcane reason.

“We didn’t claim that we could insure 30 million new people for free... we never claimed that... we KNEW it would drive up costs”. What a liar... Rush destroyed the kenyan Friday... WITH HIS OWN WORDS STATING JUST THE OPPOSITE!

But when you open your mail, you'll find out that's untrue; all he's doing is making you pay for it in advance.

"Free people" FORCED to pay-up by totalitarians and when they've drained our life savings, our necessary life-sustaining meds/operations will be denied and we'll be culled by government regulated-run hospice with or without pain meds.

We're getting notices about every three weeks now. They also include copay hikes and reduction of services.

These price hikes are awful, but, you got to admit, the timing is downright nasty for incumbent Demon Rats. It’s like an October Surprise!
