This Time We Win: A Word from James Robbins
Power Line ^ | September 14, 2010 | Scott Johnson and James Robbins

Today is the publication date of This Time We Win: Revisiting the Tet Offensive, by James Robbins. ...

I vividly remember following news of the Tet offensive in 1968 and subsequently fell for virtually every element of the myth of Tet that Robbins exposes in this lucid, important book. The book thus rings a bell with me, as I suspect it will for many readers of this site. Robbins argues that the myth of Tet has lived on to do much damage.

All my life, being raised as a kid during Veitnam, I thought we got stomped in the Tet offensive and that is why we lost Veitnam. That was until I saw a war documentary about five years ago that clearly explained how the Veitcong were going all in and abandoning their gorilla war fare. They got stomped and managed to take one city briefly until we took it back. We accomplished all of our military objectives as they came out of hiding, faught toe-to-toe, and we mopped them up. This has got to be one of the biggest successes for propaganda when it comes to changing the outcomes of history.

Several N. Vietnamese generals and politicians have written that they considered TET a terrible military defeat and were amazed at the US media reaction that gave them a propaganda victory.

Other have theorized that the N. Vietnamese purposely sacrificied the Viet Cong units all over the country so they wouldn’t have to deal with the native S. Vietnamese as co-equals once they took over the South.

Unfortunately few in the MSM will read this and those that do will continue the deception. The horrible failure that was the Commie Tet Offensive is already known to anyone that’s studied the Nam War in depth.

No, it was traitors in the USA that lied to the public. Cronkrap and Fonda are traitors that deserve execution. At least the Rosenbergs got paid for their treason. Cronkrap and Fonda did it for free. I have a jar of urine ready to pour on Fonda’s grave. I better get another one ready for Conkrap.
