Founder of today’s China killed 45 million of his own people

(TibetanReview.net, Sep05, 2010) Recently declassified Chinese Communist Party archives show that the Great Helmsman, Chairman Mao Tsetung's regime cased the greatest "man-made famine" the world has ever seen, reported the ANI news service Sep 3, citing a new publication from Hong Kong. Mao's Great Famine, by Frank Dikotter, Professor of Humanities at the University of Hong Kong, is reported to show that 45 million Chinese people were killed between 1958 and 1961.

Chinese propaganda posters of the late 1950s show smiling young workers marching jubilantly towards unity under the benevolent Great Leader. However, the historian is cited as saying, the reality was that workers were more likely to be found lying dead in the gutters of rundown towns or falling, weak from starvation, in the paddy fields. All around would be the stomach-churning signs of neglect, food shortages and death dealing poverty. People often risked their lives stealing grain from the fields.

The newly opened party archives are reported to show that starvation drove some peasants to actually eat the earth itself before dying. Many houses in the smaller towns were pulled down to provide building materials, with their former occupants forcibly herded into collectives, or, worse, left to live wild. Some of the elderly workers, too frail to keep up with unrealistic production quotas, were put on slow starvation diets.

The book is cited as saying Chairman Mao, who is revered by the current regime with his portrait hanging on the Tiananmen Square, was not the warm father of his people, but a foul, heartless dictator, who had thrown his country into frenzy.

And while the ordinary people of China fell into the depths of hell, corruption was reported to be rampant at every level of Chinese society – from those in Chairman Mao's own coterie (all of whom lived a luxurious life) right down to the small local officials. For example, in a town just outside Beijing, the head of a retirement home systematically stole food and clothes earmarked for the elderly, condemning them to a winter without warmth or padded jackets. Most were said to have died as soon as the frosts appeared and their bodies were left unburied for over a week.

This is the number that they now admit to. The actual count would be incredibly hard to estimate accurately, but I believe the true number to closer to 55 million or above.

We do not have the excess food-manufacturing and storage capacity that we used to have because of the above control issues and because we have grown complacent thinking that our technology and the weather will always allow us to produce and abundance of food.

We are only a year or two ahead of a serious wheat rust disaster, but there is another force on the march even more insidious: the Rocky Mountain Locust may return.

If you want to consider the most sophisticated survival system the world has never seen, try this.

This is only for 4 years of “Great Leap Forward” campaign. He killed lots of people since ‘49 until ‘58 to purge(kill) impure elements in China. That may amount to another couple of tens of millions.

Statistics of atheistic (Marxist/Darwinian psychology) states in history and the aprox number of murders they are responsible for, proving that no one comes close to their level of genocide in all the history of the world except for the worldwide abortion genocide which is the number one genocide in the history of the world carried out by most all modern Marxist controlled nations worldwide every day increasing its number of those murdered.

Back around Christmas time, there were pictures posted on FR of tree ornaments with pictures of mao’s face. In the white house. Plus some goofball white house advisor expressed that her heroes were mother teresa and chairman mao. I don’t remember her name because it doesn’t matter. They are all communist loving lemmings.

From your link:

". Abide in the wild with the Lord of Creation one out of every seven years, or fall into ruin without Him, a nation of slaves. "

So, you are saying I need to go camping every 7 years, and let my fields lie fallow?

One of Mao's “Leaps” came from an observation that common birds were eating grain in the fields. The people were ordered to destroy birds where ever they could be found.
the result was an explosion in the insect population that reduced harvests.

We are all going to die before that anyway, due to the Gulf oil spill. Massive clouds of oil soaked rain are going to rain down on the eastern half of the country and kill everyone.
Oh wait a minute...

So, you are saying I need to go camping every 7 years, and let my fields lie fallow?

It is far more rigorous than even that. Shemitta was to be a comprehensive system of social opportunity, stocking a year's worth of food in caves while eating off the old store, a rebinding of the agro-urban and pastoral elements of the society to teach the former how to forage, hunt, and shoot, to develop the infrastructure for an entire nation to become capable of sustained guerrilla war.

As a tiny trading country sitting amid the Babylonian, Hittite, and Egyptian empires, Israel could afford to be no less if it was going to survive (which it did not because they never kept Shemitta and Jubilee to the full), but it was more than that. The total system was the crux of a true anarchy, by which to be a light of liberty to oppressed peoples everywhere, showing them how to throw off their despots. The Torah was in fact a revolutionary document.

So, as to what we are to do now, obviously the entire economy would crash if the Christian world even attempted a limited variant of such a practice. There is however, no problem with slowly moving in that direction. The Lord is known to respect an insufficient offering given with a whole heart.

As of now, for the most part I am merely reporting what the Scriptures actually say on the matter, because our agro-urban perspective on a Bible largely written by shepherds has distorted its interpretation. Over the next year or two I hope to develop more ideas on where we go from here.

There are active Maoist rebel groups in Nepal and in Colombia.
That has always stunned me. Out of any political leader or philosophy one might ever espouse, why Chairman Mao? He very nearly destroyed China.

Well some posters here thought that might happen; or at least links to them were put.
Check it out.

The point is pretty obvious. Someone is always predicting some type of Armageddon is imminent.
Most of us get tired of the latest “scare”. Be prepared yes, but don't run around like chicken little in a constant state of fear.

That figure, 55 million, is closer to what current PRC documents seem to be showing.
A buddy of mine is currently working an a book on China and last week we were discussing this new book by Dikotter. There has been new material come out as recent as this year which was not available to Dikotter wen he was doing his research. 50 mil is pretty solid with another 5-7 mil from less than well documented areas. The "revolutionaries" destroyed a lot of docs when they killed the "landlords" and "anti-revolutionaries."

I just wrote an entire book in exactly that vein. Shemitta isn't about fear mongering, it is about prevention. My family was among the first settlers in Pella btw.

the Rocky Mountain Locust may return. The Rocky Mountain Locust has been extinct for over 130 years with the last great swarm in 1877. The last sighting of an individual locust was in 1902. Before that swarms used to hit every 20 years or so.

What makes you think they are magically going to come back?

...the greatest "man-made famine" the world has ever seen...

SInce the Industrial Revolution, all famines are man-made. They are political weapons, used to simultaneously eliminate opponents and collect foreign cash.
