Media Research Center President L. Brent Bozell III is calling on members of the liberal media to “Tell the Truth” about the administration’s efforts to push the U.S. toward socialism. Wednesday Bozell announced the kick-off of a $2.1 million campaign designed to counter the way the mainstream media portray the situation the nation currently faces.
“It is our declaration of war on the outrageous levels of liberal bias in the media today,” Bozell said...“The liberal media are in panic mode, the Left's experiment in socialism is failing. Americans are waking up, rising up for freedom and limited government.
“In the coming months, we can expect continued efforts by the liberal media to distort the truth about the economy, about conservatives and about the Obama agenda -- all in an effort to help keep the march toward European-style socialism on track,” Bozell added.
The media watchdog said his goal for the campaign is simple. “We want to force the liberals in the media to stop pushing an agenda and just tell the truth,” Bozell said. “Tell the truth about the massive growth in government and its control over our lives! Tell the truth about this runaway spending, about the incredible deficits we face, and about the astounding levels of debt that are going to bankrupt us -- drown us, really – if we continue down this path.
“Tell the truth about the efforts by liberals to implement socialism and bring an end to our 234-year history as a nation of freedom-loving individuals who have the right to live and pursue our own unique visions of happiness!”
Bozell said ads are being readied for radio, TV and the Internet, and billboards will be placed in a number of major markets. ‘This past weekend, we had a mobile billboard with the ‘Tell the Truth’ message here in Washington, D.C., for the Tea Party rally,” he said, “and we have a lot more tricks up our sleeves. We don’t have the resources to do everything that we want to do, but we are well on our way, and we’re raising more money every day.”

I am skeptical that you can fight a war on ‘the media’ and sell it.
Better to pick one or two specific targets.
Good thing Brent didn’t ask you, or he would be sitting on his hands.
The day liberals tell the truth is the day they stop being liberals.
I agree to an extent, but I don't think that's what Bozell is actually doing here, despite his "declaration of war.". He's been in the media watchdog business too long to harbor any illusions that they'll change, or even listen to him, for that matter. I believe his target audience is, and always has been the American people, with the goal of educating them. After all, the media is powerful only insofar as people trust them to provide accurate info.
IMHO, he's not taking on media so much as he is taking on the ignorance of people who lap up anything they hear from liberal media. But you don't win hearts and minds by telling people they're idiots. Better tactic is to expose the media and people can come to the realization themselves. Personal epiphanies are far, far more powerful and motivating than lectures and pleadings from external sources.
Works great with liberals in general, race hustlers, and other fellow travellers as well.

Internet sites like this, facebook, twitter, email, and word of mouth have all but eliminated the affect the old media had. Look at what happened in the O’Donnell case. She has raised over 1.6 million in the last three days. That would never have happened under the old media.
We now trump the old media.
I’m glad Bozell is doing this. So many of the lies told by the media are so blatant, it seems that only a moderate degree of scrutiny has the potential to turn the heads of normal Americans.
Normal, God fearing Americans who have been fooled by the left only because of apathy and inattention.
