Netflix itself had better heed the lesson learned here.

While they are making a valiant effort re:streaming there is a lot of digital media competition out there: Amazon VOD, iTunes, HULU-plus just to name a few.

The day of the physical medium (DVD) may pass just as surely as VHS.

I sort mail and can attest that Netflix is huge...for awhile I think Blockbuster tried the same discs by mail deal

YouTube is another factor. Example: I meant to see the 70s film Friends of Eddie Coyle eventually. Noticed it was on YouTube and watched it part by part. No need to go to Blockbuster or even a public library’s DVD section. Later
I think it was taken down due to copyright infringement though
