In part the tea party is visceral, a feeling of repugnance toward elitist scum like Bloomberg.

Bloomers hates being irrelevant.
Picture Bloomers standing on the balcony at Gracie Mansion (official NYC mayor’s residence): “Who do these peasants think they are? And that man, down there, in my rose garden... put an arrow through him.”

You know what, Mike, at least Rudy Giuliani was smart enough to avoid picking fights with the right.

It’s not political, it’s better than that. It’s the people saying that they’ve had it with what politics does to us and they’re not going to sit it out anymore.

The fact that people like Bloomberg are wealthy doesn’t mean they get it. It means they know how to make money. That doesn’t mean they understand anything else.
Bloomberg has all the traits of a Marxist, Leftist, Liberal, Commie, Pink-O, and that makes him a RINO, and an enemy of our Constitution, our Republic.
I’ll listen if he talks about making money, but anything else I’ll present him a deaf ear.

Tea Party blasts Mayor Bloomberg, describes him as often irrational, not a political force.

Reading between the lines it seems to me that mayor for life mike is looking to change his address to a small, for him, house on Pennsylvania Ave in Washington DC. Not if the Tea Party has anything to say about it.

Isn’t it hilarious that the most irrational man on the planet is calling other people irrational?

To be fair, the Tea Party is not a “traditional” political movement, which is a tide of support behind a particular party or candidate. Instead, the Tea Party is a true groundswell of support for specific PRINCIPLES.
The Principle thing really confuses people like Bloomie.
