‘One Nation’ Claims ‘Satellite Image’ Proves 10/2 Rally Is Bigger Than ‘Restoring Honor’

Well I guess that settles it. They already have the satellite images and all. The AP must be wrong about the “sparse” crowds. Even MSNBC was saying today’s rally was smaller than the one on 8/28. Joe Madison was happy to set everyone straight:

Now, did you catch the one possible point of wiggle room with the claim? Mediaite did:

Maybe Ed Schultz was right about being able to attract more people than Glenn Beck: organizers of today’s “One Nation Together Rally” are claiming that, based on a “satellite image,” there are definitively more people on the Washington Mall today than there were on the 29th of August. Congratulations, liberals! Except “Restoring Honor” was on the 28th…it is a near certainty that there are more people congregated on the Mall today than there were on August 29th, given that there was no event scheduled to occur in the Mall on that date.

If I'm a commie, I'm plain-old embarrassed at the turnout for my team.

Even on the local NBC station in my home state, it looked a whole lot less folks then expect. Beck’s numbers will still beat out “One Nation’s”.

So far, no aerial photos. Seems as though there ought to be one or two by now.

Perhaps the November elections will illustrate how Americans feel politically. (How long until they begin saying the elections were stolen by Diebold?)

The photo you used was taken early in the event. The crowd did get a bit larger but it was nowhere near the numbers Beck got with his Restoring Honour day.

Out of 400 organisations and “a thousand buses on the way” this is truly a pathetic turnout. Beck had no major organizations backing him(unless you count FNC) yet he beat them senselessly. I swore I would never watch Ed Schutz Show again but I gotta see him “worm and sqirm” why he did get the numbers he promised

The Democrats are in deep doodoo when even their lapdog media refuses to cover their outrageous lies.

Democrat Congress critters should update their resumes and start searching for new accomdations... However

“Paid” attendees can never compete with Volunteers.

When the unions herd the unwilling of course “We the People” know it, and pass on that nonsense.

There is one photo with people further back (http://news.yahoo.com/nphotos/One-Nation-Working-Together-rally/ss/events/us/100210dcrally/im:/101002/480/urn_publicid_ap_org605f04aa38144f26ab0b8bb7a85caa53/ ), but without aerial, how do we know they didn’t just line up for a photo op?

I'd say about 2:30 eastern time when Jesse Jackson appeared.

They never reached their goal and failed miserably to put to shame Beck's numbers.

They had a bigger turnout than I expected but still less than half of the 8/28 crowd.

Also I suspect union members were leaving as soon as their individual union’s rep was done speaking.

I can see how they can say their crowd was bigger than 8/28.

I was at the Restoring Honor rally and there were more people
gathered on Friday afternoon than in this picture ...

... by at least three times.

No trash left behind... children, maybe, but no trash.
