This was my reaction as well. I almost painted my computer screen with coffee when I read that. Gov. ‘Good-Hair’ is anything but conservative, the only reason he hasn’t done worse is that the TX Governor doesn’t have a lot of power compared with other states. If it wasn’t for the close race, I wouldn’t vote for him again, but I’ll be damned if I’m going to let that weaselly DIM White be governor of my state.

I find plenty of people who think Perry is a conservative, and it cracks me up to no end. I start to point out all of the things that show that Perry is not much more than the Democratic hack that he was in the '80s before he switched parties, and you can see their eyes glaze over. They don't want to hear anything that could intrude on their little world where Rick Perry is a conservative.

I don't think it's a coincidence that most of the people I know that think Perry is an actual Conservative are Aggies - those people are conditioned to support their fellow Aggies come Hell or high water. Somebody puts the word out that they have to pretend that Rick Perry is a Conservative, and low and behold they all start pushing that idea.

Rick Perry is a little more conservative than Bill White but that's about as far as I'd go.

And I fully believe that if Rick Perry is given another 4 years, that he will do everything he can to revive his super NAFTA corridor that he wants to force down our throats. That's what burns me the most about having to vote for him. I know as soon as he wins, he's going to take that as another mandate to start making a land grab from farmers and ranchers so that Mexican truckers can have a smooth ride into the US.

It really is pathetic that we are having to vote for a former Democrat turned Republican who wants to give us the kind of land grabs and massive public works projects that the liberals drool over. I can't believe we are still stuck with Perry. It is just pathetic.
