Marc Van der Hout was the president of the marxist “National Lawyers Guild”, which was created by the Communist Party USA back in the 1930’s. (For a brief history of the NLG, go to www.Keywiki.org, SEARCH - enter National Lawyers Guild - and enjoy).
His partner on the “LA 8” case was David Cole, one of the top associated attorneys with the NLG-created “Center for Constitutional Rights” (CCR) in their defense of 8 foreigners here on various visas, for aiding the marixst Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) by selling propaganda materials to raise funds for them.
Cole, a professor of law at the far-left Georgetown Un. School of Law, is a brillian leftist and good speaker. He apparently was the protege’ of communist sympathizer attorney William Kunstler (and perhaps Arthur Kinoy, Rutgers Law School and longtime CPUSA supporter).
The NLG has run the gamut from a totally CPUSA operation till the 1970’s when New Left marxists and socialists (if there is any difference) came in - i.e. Castroites, Maoists, Eurosocialists, Hanoiniks, etc). It has always remained under the leadership of hardcore communists/marxists no matter what they called themselves, usually “progressives”.
The last major report on the NLG was an inserted study in one of the volumes of the House Internal Security Committee hearings on “Revolutionary Activities Directed Against the Penal and Correctional Systems”, 1973.
Rep. Larry McDonald (D-Ga), before he was murdered by the Soviets when they shot down KAL007, put a lot of materials on the NLG and CCR in the Congressional Records during the 1970’s and possibly early 1980’s. It laid out the self-proclaimed “anti-imperialist”, and “anti-capitalist” ideology and orientation of the NLG.
Marc Van der Hout is a dedicated marxists whether he ever had a Party card or not. His record is one of service to our communist and jihadist enemies, and it is largely an open one if you take the time to track it down.
Ironic that he referred this Nicki woman (Meg Whitman’s former maid) to Gloria Allred, a most appropriate name for a fronter for his machinations.
