Doug Hoffman and Ovide Lamontagne deserve full accolades for losing their race and getting behind the more conservative candidate in the contest. Granted, it took Hoffman a little while, but he deserves the kudos.

“The poll, however, was conducted Sept 22- 23, before conservative Doug Hoffman suspended his campaign this week.”
Umm, wouldn’t that make it more likely that Hoffman would take votes from Doheny in that poll, so Doheny would be up by an even higher percentage because Hoffman suspended his campaign and endorsed him? I think that called for a “moreover” instead of a “however.”

It would be nice if the Party ID was used.
