As the true intentions of ObamaCare’s supporters becomes clear — nothing short of the complete transfer of health care decision-making power from patients to politicians — it’s the cost-sharing provisions in the president’s new law that should worry us most of all.  ObamaCare explicitly and implicitly prevents Americans from spending their own money for legal health care services. It also gives endless regulatory authority to bureaucrats to interpret the law in ever more restrictive ways.

Government by whim and favor: As Obama administration officials put into place the first major wave of changes under the health care legislation, they have tried to defuse stiffening resistance — from companies like McDonald’s and some insurers — by granting dozens of waivers to maintain even minimal coverage far below the new law’s standards.

How long would it take to just read this list aloud?

Every day a new Outrage of the Day. Some days, several. Rereading the list from time to time makes me even angrier when I see things that I had forgotten becuase of the more recent outrages.

I was talking to friends last night...One idea that had some traction: Reading Nachum’s List - like the list of indictments that it is - at a protest or rally.

The only problem we could see, is that its just too damned long.

Perhaps in my spare time I will work on a summary of sorts, choosing from the list the outrages that cannot be ignored.

I wonder if I can keep the reading time of even that list to under an hour.

Sounds like a very good idea. One of the reasons I began this list was (believe it or not) President Clinton. There were so many lies and illegalities, we all tended to forget what he did. Especially into his second term. I wanted a place where one could see, chronologically: the magnitude of the evil, and with your scroll bar be able to look at a period of time in the administration. I just don't have the time or resources to really do the idea justice.

Time management is one reason why I try to cull certain topics like Israel, the BP mess, and ethics violations out separately.

I read your list frequently and you are having the desired affect. When I was writing my newsletter I referred to it often.

The sheer weight of the list when printed - just the titles - is impressive.

The accumulation of slights small and large...The cummulative damage to our country, our Consititution, the Free Markets - our way of life seems nearly insurmoutable.

He needs to be stopped. Every move, every word disputed.

Your list should be the starting point for any investigation or proceeding that would lead to an impeachment.

Of course not! Sarah Palin was just elected president, Michelle Bachman vice president and Darrel Issa appointed Attorney General. The entire president's staff has been indicted for crimes that would imprison the lot of them for almost a thousand years. The leaders of the major unions, the heads of ACORN, the Black Panthers, Democratic Socialists of America, Communist Party USA, and George Soros are all behind bars for crimes against the state. There are currently bull dozers plowing over the Ground Zero mosque and their leaders arrested and deported. NASA has been refunded and we are headed back to the moon. /s
