(CBS 5) – The third time may be the charm for Republican David Harmer as he tries to get elected to Congress, according to a KPIX-TV CBS 5 poll released Tuesday.

The poll, conducted for CBS 5 by SurveyUSA, found Harmer edges out Democratic Congressman Jerry McNerney in California’s 11th congressional district by 48% to 42%.

Later today McNerney put out his own poll saying he is leading by 10 percent. What he failed to mention was that the polling was done in September. Any voter living in the district has seen the DCCC and California Democratic Committee's hit pieces on David. Instead of Jerry running on his record and the issues - he has resorted to having Mother Jones skew the truth along with the Huffington Post while the DCCC and CDC do his dirty work for him.

Now is not the time to let down....David needs your help albeit volunteering, talking, walking or just plain making a donation or sticking a sign in your yard. We have less than 20 days until Victory. Now is the time to act and get involved!

Another classic example of gerrymandering, but in this case this is one of those districts designed to be in play just to make a few districts interesting.

While we are at it, let’s defeat Dennis Cardoza in CA-18 and Jim Costa in CA-20. These are two dems representing districts in the San Joaquin Valley where water allocations to farmers were closed down to support a 2” fish. Elect Mike Berryhill in CA-18, www.berryhillforcongress.com and Andy Vidak in CA-20, www.vidakforcongress.com .

CA has 53 of 54 districts equivalently gerrymandered. It is beyond amazing.

Harmer winning would be a very nice get. He’s a very solid and straight-ahead, if undramatic guy.

There may be some sane people left in California.
