Meghan McCain: O'Donnell seen as 'nut job' (Meghan McCain attacks Tea Party)
Politico ^ | 2010-10-17 | Abby Phillip

Posted on 10/17/2010 8:28:03 AM PDT by rabscuttle385

“Dirty, Sexy Politics” author Meghan McCain slammed Delaware Republican Senate candidate Christine O’Donnell on ABC's “This Week” on Sunday, calling her candidacy “scary.”

"I speak as a 26-year-old woman, and my problem is that, no matter what, Christine O'Donnell is making a mockery of running for public office," McCain told host Christiane Amanpour. "She has no real history, no real success in any kind of business."

McCain said that O'Donnell's lack of experience sends the wrong message to her generation that “one day you can just wake and run for Senate, no matter how [much of] a lack of experience you have.”

"I just know, in my group of friends, it turns people off because she's seen as a nut job," McCain said.

“And it scares for me for a lot of reasons."

Diving into the debate about the future of the tea party movement, McCain said that it was “losing young voters at a rapid rate.”

Didn’t think so.

Without Mommy’s money and daddy’s political power, Ms McCain would be lucky to have a job at Hooters.

I think her parents should make her cheques dependent on her silence. I guess, however, mommy holds the purse strings for the most part, and she seems a little flaky as well.

“one day you can just wake and run for Senate, no matter how [much of] a lack of experience you have.”

I guess Meghan hasn't read the Constitution. To run for the Senate you must be:

(1) at least 30 years old.
O'Donnell is 41

(2) a U.S. citizen for at least nine years at the time of election to the Senate.
O'Donnell was born in the U.S.

Therefore she is qualified to run for the Senate. No other experience is required.

I guess she Meg McCain got her talking points from her RINO establishment dad.
Actually, there are not requirements in the US Constitution for past job experience to run for the office of Representative, Senator, or President.
As long as your meet the requirements set down in the US Constitution.

Meg McCain ? shut the hell up, Christine O'Donnell has got as much " RIGHT " to run for a Congressional office as much as anyone else.

She’s learned well from her father...the best way to get the MSM to like you is to attack conservatives.

McCain told host Christiane Amanpour. "She has no real history, no real success in any kind of business."

Yeah, no accomplishments like being the daughter of a leftist loser Republican.

Any word on whether sanity is a distinguishing feature of the ‘rats? I’d say beyond a “nutjob,” clinical insanity characterizes Pelosi and Obama, for starters.
