Illinois Soldiers Wait for Ballots. Prisoners Get Hand Delivery.
Big Government ^ | October 19, 2010

Posted on 10/19/2010 2:56:39 PM PDT by La Lydia

Over 35 counties in Illinois missed the deadline to mail military ballots to our soldiers defending America. But in Chicago, county election officials have taken special steps to ensure that no inmates at the Cook County Jail are unable to cast a ballot. The Chicago Board of Elections hand delivers ballots to the jail.

They don’t even wait for the inmates to apply – they bring the applications with the ballots! Over 2,600 inmates have cast ballots so far – strikingly similiar to the 2,600 soldiers who will likely not recieve a ballot for the Nov 2 election.

Disgraceful does not begin to describe the Illinois Election system.

This is yet another slap in the face to Americans. The liberals fight tooth and nail to make sure it is easy for illegals of all strips to vote. All the while making it as difficult as possible for those who pay the bills with blood and treasure. This is the America obumber and the misses envision.

No matter what is marked on those 2600 ballots given to the prisoners—I am willing to bet there are 2600 PRE-MARKED ballots waiting to be substituted for the prisoner ballots.

Lying Demorats don’t miss a beat in Chicago......

why haven’t senators introduced a bill barring release of election results until every military vote has been counted? do we really need to know who won within 3 hours of polls closing?

The ultimate end of all of this is violence.

People are getting so pissed. There will be violence.

Yes. In fact we need the results even faster. The longer the votes go uncounted the longer the rats have to alter the figures. Too many things can happen if they have a few days.

Exactly
someone needs to sue on behalf of our military.

on prisoners voting
I had to look it up
]Convicted felons can’t vote but if this is just Cook County Jail doesn’t that mean they haven’t been convicted yet? Just waiting trial?

Still for arrested people to be treated better than our brave men and women serving overseas is a travesty

I hope that EVERY single soldier in EVERY single state files a lawsuit. Their civil rights have not been violated; they have been denied in a conspiracy.

This is not “beyond the pale”, it is criminal. I wrote a letter to the Wilmington News Journal on August 30 and verified that I was the author, complaining that Delaware was one of the states denying our military personnel the right to vote. They REFUSED to print the letter!

How about a constitutional amendment giving each active duty serviceman FIVE votes?

Sounds about right to me.

So refuse to book a plane which uses Chicago as a hub. Remind your business contacts that Chicago has given you reason to go elsewhere with your capital. Banks, insurance, construction, technology, manufacturing, etc.... Send the business to another state.

Convicted felons cannot vote while incarcerated in Illinois. They can vote once they are released from prison.

Persons jailed awaiting trial are allowed to vote.
