Republican congressional candidate Allen West tells Newsmax that the nation is nearing a “tipping point” toward socialism when more than half of all Americans depend on the government for financial support.
The retired Army lieutenant colonel also says the Democrats and his opponent Ron Klein committed a “despicable act” by sending West’s Social Security number to tens of thousands of people, vows to work to defund Obamacare if he is elected, and scoffs at a report that he is associated with the Outlaws motorcycle gang.
West is running against two-term Democratic Rep. Ron Klein in Florida’s 22nd Congressional District, which includes parts of Broward and Palm Beach Counties. West served more than 20 years in the Army with postings in several combat zones, including Iraq and Afghanistan. He has received military awards including the Bronze Star, and holds two master's degrees.
In an exclusive interview with Newsmax.TV, West was asked why Ron Klein has run personal attack ads against West instead of campaigning on his record, which includes support for Obamacare and the stimulus package.
“When you are not able to articulate your voting record, when you are not confident enough to talk about the issues [important] to the people in South Florida — for instance, 13 percent unemployment, the fact that Palm Beach County is number one in the state of Florida, which is number three in the nation for foreclosures — the only thing you can do is an attack ad against someone like myself,” West says.

Any polling out of this district?
Fact is, the left and its liberals/socialists/marxists (like the President himself) are absolutely totally frightened and scared of what is going on...particularly of conservative candidates like West and the Tea Party movement.
They do not understand it and cannot comrehend that such a grass roots movement could spring up with no central leadership and sweep the country. They do not understand or want to believe that their fraud, lies, manipulations, socialism, unconstitutional acts, etc., etc. which have been protected by scheming and manipulative politicians and a willing press, could be taken down by such a movement.
But it will. it is happening before our eyes.
The libs are getting a sense of it and are trying their tired, worn out tactics against it. Fanatics, racists, fringe, etc., etc., which shall fail misreably as a new congress is elected in in 2010, with their ilk in the minority...and then as the President and the rest are ushered out of town on a rail in 2012.
That's because, it's Tea Party time in America

but we also need the state houses....we need to ram thru a balanced budget ammendment pronto...

Yes. I forget the poll but was done last week. West was ahead a few points. Dead even race in a D plus 4-5 district. I just gave some money to him hope others will for final push. We can win this one.
West is a good man. Saved that sergeant’s life by giving him his own body armor. Almost surely saved many more lives when he gained intelligence about an ambush by not pussy-footing around with the Al Queda terrorist. Klein is running a dishonest and despicable campaign against him. A criminal campaign in the release of West’s social security number. That level of despicable.
We need the Secretaries of State. BIG deal there.
If we get the SoS’s, we can start getting voter fraud dealt with.
But, we have to overcome the fraud in this election.
No one is sending the message loud enough, that I’ve heard:
“Mess with this election, lefties, and there will be war.”
Too strong? Maybe. But they need to understand they’re playing with fire.
One of America’s true heroes on and off the battlefield.
If Allen West wins, I can see him showing up in the national scene in 2020-2024 range.
I would love for him to spend 6 years in the house, maybe another 4-8 as govenor, then 8 more as president.

I got to hear Col. West speak at the Tax Payers Rally and Freeper convention in 2009; fantastic speaker. He was passionate and had a plan for the future, very inspiring.

This seems to be trend with Democrats all over the country. They are accusing Republicans of being wrong on everything except the actual issues.
