No compromises with Obama, says Ken Buck
Washington Post ^ | October 20, 2010 | Dan Balz

Ken Buck has a message for President Obama and the leadership of his own party: He'll make no compromises if he gets to Washington.

Obama and some Republican leaders might feel pressure to work cooperatively on various major issues next year, including the deficit. If the comments by Buck, Colorado's Republican Senate nominee, are any indication, the conservatives trying to win races this fall have a different view of what their mandate will be.

Buck, who is in a tight race with appointed Sen. Michael Bennet (D), said in an interview that he would be willing to work with Democrats on some issues of importance to Colorado, but not on the issues that have defined the midterm elections.

I voted for Ken Buck yesterday. I think he realizes his feet are going to be held to the fire when he gets to Washington.

When did early voting start in CO. I heard the other day that over 70% of the vote is already in before election day. I am wondering what chunk of the vote was done before this race tightened up (if it really did).

Republicans need a test case to show what happens if they work with the White House. No matter how much they work together, the President will say “Look what I did” and Republicans will not get the credit of getting things done.

Make sure you relay the “MrB strategy” to him:

Pick out the most egregious anti-freedom aspects of 0bamacare.

Put them each in their own individual, easily understandable, one page bill, posted on the internet.

Pass each individually through Congress,
and make 0bama veto them.

I don’t know if 70% of the vote is in, but in my county (La Plata), the early voters are mostly Republican.

Ooops... to clarify, put the REPEAL of each of them in their own individual bill.

There should be NO NEW BUSINESS until 0bamacare is fully rejected and repealed.

Early voting started on Monday - and there was a line of very familiar faces at the polling place I went to - all GOP buddies...GOOD sign...

I live in CO.

My son uses my address for mail, he’s a registered independent.

The last 2 days he’s received mailings from “League of Conservative Voters” stating KB is too extreme for Colorado, vote no on KB.

They’re not recommending a vote for Bennett, but, “League of Conservative Voters” my @$$

Funny thing when I read them, I’m more inclined to vote Buck !

My strategy does two things -

exposes how AWFUL 0bamacare is for a free people,
and exposes 0bama as being anti-freedom when he vetoes it.

People will be asking all over the place
“why can’t we see his birth certificate?”

You can say “bastard” - he was/is.
His parents weren’t married when he was born.

The Republican leadership really needs to understand, this is their last chance. If we give them a majority in Congress and they compromise our principles again they are through, or should I say the party is through. There are enough people that feel this way to ensure a third party if they screw us again. NO COMPROMISE!!
