Britain is guarded... by the French (How's that EU and socialisim stuff working for everyone?)
The Sun ^ | 10-22-2010 | DUNCAN LARCOMBE

AXING the RAF's Nimrod spy planes leaves Britain's defences so weak we will have to depend on the FRENCH to stave off a naval attack on us. French Atlantique planes operating from UK bases will monitor and intercept unauthorised ships and submarines.

The humiliation comes exactly 205 years to the day after Nelson's fleet saw off Napoleon at Trafalgar.

And The Sun can reveal that just as Prime Minister David Cameron was announcing the axing, TWO Russian submarines were intercepted less than 70 miles off our shores.

They had to be tracked by American P3 Orion jets because our Nimrods were grounded and the French planes had NO FUEL.

Britain's military has been a favorite target for cost cutting for decades. This is what it has fallen to. I wonder if the Brits have called this a "peace dividend" like American politicians do?

Buck the Frits.

They've chosen Dhimmitude, hang 'em all.

(That way, at least they won't be beheaded...)

NO cheers, unfortunately.

Royal Navy Warship Strength

The Royal Navy, still the largest in the world in September 1939, included:

15 Battleships & battlecruisers, of which only two were post-World War I. Five ‘King George V’ class battleships were building.

7 Aircraft carriers. One was new and five of the planned six fleet carriers were under construction. There were no escort carriers.

66 Cruisers, mainly post-World War I with some older ships converted for AA duties. Including cruiser-minelayers, 23 new ones had been laid down.

184 Destroyers of all types. Over half were modern, with 15 of the old ‘V’ and ‘W’ classes modified as escorts. Under construction or on order were 32 fleet destroyers and 20 escort types of the ‘Hunt’ class.

60 Submarines, mainly modern with nine building.

45 escort and patrol vessels with nine building, and the first 56 ‘Flower’ class corvettes on order to add to the converted ‘V’ and ‘W’s’ and ‘Hunts’. However, there were few fast, long-endurance convoy escorts.

The Brits need to axe the Nimrods in their government, not the Nimrods in the RAF hangars.

Notice that they are cutting the HARRIER vertical lift jet fighter/bomber. STUPID, STUPID, STUPID.

Great plane for landing on a short landing strip, in the desert (hint, hint, Afghanistan and Iraq), carriers good firepower, etc.

WE NEED THE HARRIER.

The social contract of paying useless bureaucrats for life and giving every brainwashed Socialist C-quality healthcare while letting Muslims overrun their nation is what it is...the cause for CHANGE.

What’s coming isn’t pretty, and too bad I’m not 20 anymore.

The next attack Britannia will face does not need a maritime force; The pigs who will soon own Europe are well aware that the USN would sink such out of sheer historical courtesy... Or simple live fire training exercise.

The enemy already resides on the island. Their allies have or will pass through Heath row, passports stamped, before any recognition that the assault has started.

Means nothing today, we will sit the next European war out. Relying on the French, who can not even control their teenage anarchists, is laughable at best.

Amazing when you consider the UK had no domestic supply of oil.

“we will sit the next European war out.”

Probably not. When the muslim jihadists take over Britian they become an Islamic nuclear power.

Britian’s problem is our problem, too.

“No such plane.”

Maybe they are confusing turboprop with jet.

No one in America will care about muslims obtaining deployable nuclear capability until one ignites over their city.

This reality is that this is a problem that will solve itself.

A rare and precious thing.
