Le Figaro is one of the two major newspapers in France (along with Le Monde), so it’s not a fringe source — I don’t know what their track record may be on reliability for this kind of story, but I’d guess this is worth taking seriously.

It used to be that Le Figaro was considered somewhat more conservative and business-oriented (for France), more like their WSJ compared to Le Monde (their NY Times), but I don’t know what the situation may be nowadays.

It is still conservative and its owned by Serge Dassault who is in the french senate and UMP(Center right party)

Thanks for the info on Le Figaro. Sounds pretty credible. I would be more inclined to believe this was a Mossad op than that IAF dropping ordinance. That’s a long way to go for one missile base, unless there was something REALLY sensitive there.

If I recall correctly, it took a few weeks before we really had a clear picture of what the IAF did to that Syrian nuke facility back in Sept 07.
