Soros also has an opinion piece in the Wall Street Journal in favor of legalizing Pot.

It's for monetary reasons. He does not do things from a belief system IMO. He wants to manipulate some market he is in a way vested in.

Get the people stoned, then try and take it away from them. They’ll do anything you want to keep it. Total control is what he’s after.

He’s stealing the issue for the Left. If he really wanted this to pass, he would have donated the money secretly.

Here I agree with Soros.

Never in the course of human history has prohibition been effective. Never. It makes the scum rich (the Kennedy family made their wealth bootlegging), it promotes crime and it drives up demand. Finally it makes more concentrated forms of the contraband more profitable.

Legalize it, tax it and make it pure. The degenerates will over-dose, the allure will go away and we clean up the gene pool.

It sounds like a lot of money but buying the souls of morons is pretty cheap and he can buy a lot of souls with that million.

I saw the article in WSJ, and the first thing that crossed my mind was a story (can’t find it now) that Soros apparently owns a lot of land in Bolivia. It already produces coke, could produce pot...don’t know.

What I do know is Soros does not give a da*n about people...he’s in it for the money.

It has been said if you want votes in California, from those that would not usually vote in most elections; you bring up the Legalize Pot for whatever use vote. That gets them out to vote Democrat.

Issues of primary concern in many states, other than the candidates feed the voter turnout. In my state, it is a casino (with location kept guarded) in just a designated rural county.

Pot (even though not approved by the FDA for medical use) buys votes. So far the Dems have used Starbucks cards like in Nevada to vote one D. Used to be "a smoke" to some vagrant on the street. Look how far they have come.

This is nothing but a crass attempt to get the Cheech and Chong CA stoner vote out to the polls in a year when Obama’s not on the ballot.
