So are you denying Mark Kirk is a Socialist ? Or would you just prefer another Trojan Horse who will vote exactly like a leftist Democrat serving in (and undermining) the GOP ? I mean, seriously, how exactly do you think Kirk is going to vote ? You think he’ll vote to STOP the liberal agenda, the same agenda he has unapologetically supported since Day #1 in Congress ? Pro-abort, pro-illegals, pro-big government, etc., etc. ? He’s the puppet for the most corrupt political machine in the United States, the IL Combine, the SAME political machine that Zero, Blago, Rahm, LaHood and crew all hail from. Tell me again how he is better than Alexi ? Alexi who is the ringer for Kirk ? No, better the crook who will soon be going to jail so Gov. Brady can appoint someone with a shred of integrity (and remotely right of center who actually WILL fight against corrupt, leftist government that Mark Kirk loves above all else). At least Alexi isn’t dishonest about his party label and his ideology. That’s more than you can say for Mark Kirk.

Your mania has undermined your reason. If it came to a matter of 1 senator either Republican or Democrat to put the Senate in the control of Republicans or lose control to the Democrats (especially in this lame duck session), it would be better to put a Republican in who is more liberal than a Democrat who is more conservative. The Senate being under the control of the Republican party will have a much greater impact on what does and doesn't get done than electing a conservative Democrat (especially by withholding a vote for the nominal Republican) with the result being a Harry Reid Senate.

Of course, Giannoulias is by no means a conservative Democrat and his election (especially by withholding a vote for the nominal Republican) would put the Democrat Party one step closer to maintaining control of the Senate (if it came to a 50/50 tie, it would remain under Democrat control). And your vote for someone other than Giannoulias's main opponent or your non-vote is, literally, a vote for Giannoulias and the Obama agenda.
