"I cannot believe ANYONE would vote FOR boxer or brown."

California a regular breakfast cereal, land of the fruits, nuts and flakes...

I am second to none in my contempt for the California electorate after having lived here for decades and witnessed far more jackassery than anyone should see in a lifetime. However, I think that writing off Whitman and Fiorina is hasty. Polling is based on turnout models and I sincerely believe that this election is quite different from the last five (2008, 2006, 2004, 2002, 2000) and thus is hard to model. I live at ground zero for leftist politicking in San Francisco and there is nothing happening out there. Nada. And with the World Series and Halloween all happening this week the young cadres of MoveOn type drones that in previous years would be working the 'Rats' ground game are nowhere to be found. California Republicans and Independents are fired up beyond any recent precedent. 'Rats are depressed and disengaged. Nobody really loves or admires Jerry Brown, Boxer, or Pelosi. Thus turnout could still favor the forces of good here folks.
