My grandfather was born in Monroe County..later moved to Knoxville..
Monroe and McMinn County boys were part of the 3rd Tennessee Cavalry (Lillards).
My GGG father was an early settler in Knox County. One of his sons..went to McMinn County..married a local girl from Sweetwater. He joined the Confederate unit (3rd).
The courts were filled with Yankee scum after the war..and its been that way ever since..hence the corruption.
