First Barack, now Michelle Obama hits the chat show circuit as she busts a move on Ellen ...

With her husband facing electoral oblivion at next week's mid-terms, Michelle Obama is clearly prepared to do anything she can to help.

Whether showing off her dance moves on Ellen was a politically astute gimmick, however, remains to be seen.

The First Lady appeared on the daytime chat show just hours after her husband went on The Jon Stewart Show in a desperate attempt to woo younger voters.

The President has been attacked for appearing on a comparatively lightweight show hosted by a comedian. At one point Stewart even called him 'dude', the first time word has been used to the commander-in-chief in a TV interview.

The First Lady filmed her interview on Tuesday, where she discussed bullying, problems facing military families... and who in the Obama family is the better dancer.

Mrs Obama believes it is her- 'I'm sure of that,' she told host Ellen Degeneres.

The First Lady was joined by Jill Biden, wife of Vice President Joe Biden, for their first joint interview.

For the benefit of those who may have missed the program, Dr. Jill, the Wookie and Ellen also discussed the need not to bully people because of their race and sexual orientation.

Ground-breaking stuff.

So we’re not supposed to bully based on race or sexual proclivities, got it. Considering there was a black wookiee and a blonde lesbian on the stage, this sort of claptrap is appropriate.

However, having been bullied for being from a single-parent household, I can attest that race and sexual orientation are NOT the only reasons that bullies practice their trade. I was bullied for being raised by a single mother during a time when divorce was less mainstream as it is now. I was also bullied for being a nerd.

These liberal asshats can go piss in the wind, as far as I’m concerned. Bullying isn’t a two horse show. There are myriad motivations for bullies to do what they do, and race and sexual orientation are the outstandingly obvious ones.

Incidentally, it makes me smile knowing that those who bullied me then are those who bag my groceries now.

We don’t need Saturday Night Live to do parodies about these people-they’re doing it themselves. Acting like cardboard cutouts with teleprompters, they’re so self-absorbed they can’t see the jokes they’ve become, and surrounded by sychophants, no one will ever tell them.

As one of two from my High School class to graduate college, I have enjoyed similar emotions myself. If you are feeling particularly devilish, offer them a tip next time. :)

I have been watching less television over the past ten years until very little is left, and daytime television like "Ellen," "Oprah" ot "The View" haven't been watched in our house since... well, ever. On rare occasions (but still not rare enough) I will be stuck in a waiting room or similar environment that has this dreck on, and the experience is nauseating.

I must give thanks that I did not have a doctor's appointment or any auto repair work done yesterday.

Good deal! The more they get out in public reminding people of who and what they are the better!

When I blew out my knee a couple of years ago, I was on crutches and went shopping with the little lady. One of the kids I knew from HS was the front end manager at Publix and came up to me to say hello. I didn’t remember him exactly, but I knew he was one of those kids who was generally a troublemaker.

With his manager badge sticking out on my puffed chest, he asked me what I was doing with my life, and I told him I was an engineer. He deflated quicker than the Hindenburg and got sorta melancholy. When he offered to take the groceries to the car, my fiancee said, “Absolutely,” (being that I was on crutches), and when he saw my car, that further deflated his ego.

It’s not ingratiating nor something I aim to do regularly, but there is a certain amount of gratification in knowing that those who were “Mr. Popular” or the class clown in HS are now waiting tables and pumping gas.

I should’ve said, “With his manager badge sticking out on HIS puffed chest.”

Need more coffee.

What about bullying conservative women because of their views by, say, a national Leftwing publication publishing sexual smears about her? Is that OK Michelle?

Agreed. You sound like a genuinely nice fellow. Glad there are a few left in the world.

Dr. Jill looks stiff and uncomfortable, and surprisingly badly dressed.

I wonder if she had to dress in an effort to make Michelle look good? The only one on the stage who actually looks relaxed and comfortable and who looks as if her clothes fit her well, actually, is Ellen.

A TOTAL EMBARRASSMENT is what they are. Americans correct your mistake and vote wisely this time. You were fooled once shame on them but if they fool you twice then shame on you.

I dunno about that.

Carrying groceries because you were disabled - seems a whole lot more mature than carrying grudges!
