Tom Perriello is a first term Democrat representing the 5th district of Virginia, in the central to central-western portion of Virginia. He is an Obama supporting liberal Democrat..... The YouTube footage shows Americans For Prosperity backers trying to hand out "Socialism Isn't Cool" bumper stickers to Perriello supporters waiting in line at a Perriello rally in downtown Charlottesville, Virginia..... Of note here in the YouTube video are the remarks made by the middle class, educated, politically astute and fashionably left wing rally-goers in central Virginia.
(The University of Virginia is located in Charlottesville. The outdoor downtown mall area where this video was taken is a trendy area where the free-thinking crowd likes to hang out.)

We tax drones can have our revenge on these unamerican agents by refusing to send our children to the universities that employ these Socialists and by insisting on lower taxes so that the federal government has to lay off thousands of these leeches sucking the life out of the economy by their make-work regulations.

If those idiots were being herded into a concentration camp they would all probably feel the same way. After all some evil rich white dudes would probably be charged taxes in order to provide them their daily gruel making it all worthwhile.
Wow. Why can’t we give these folks a free ticket to live under Socialism for awhile and see how the like being one of the proletariat? Perhaps they would like waiting in line without even knowing what was being sold because that was the only way they could eat, or laboring in fields. They think that they would be the elites living off the labor of others but that is the opium they are smoking. Disgusting is just a word and they are far worse because to fee important and cool they are selling out our country and helping to put shackles on their fellow Americans. Why do they feel no responsibility to learn from history or look around at the standard of living in socialist countries? To much work.
I wish I lived in that district so I could vote against him!
If there are any FReepers out there are living in the 5th, get someone out to vote against Perriello in my place.
I’m very surprised by this. I just looked up a map of his district and it’s a good distance from the D.C environs, which I would assume to be the only liberal part of Virgina.
It’s amazing how different these people dress and groom themselves, when compared to those who attend the tea parties I’ve been to.
Long hair, scraggly beards for the men, and the butch or hippie look for women. You simply cannot look this way and be successful in the private sector, it’s pretty obvious these people either don’t work in the private sector or possibly don’t work at all. Clearly the message they’re trying to send is “I don’t like capitalism.”

UVA is a self-imposed island of supposed intellectualism. Need I say more?
There’s more of VA that’s liberal than what you’d think. Most any liberal arts college will attract these vermin and that includes UVA. I’m originally from VA’s 9th District and for the most part it’s fairly conservative but there’s a few major liberal cesspools, including one in my hometown of Wise. Liberal Arts colleges have become a blight on our country because of the indoctrination that they push.
Pretty much all colleges have become a blight on our country because of all the "vibrant diversity" they bring to their towns, which likes to rob, rape and murder the locals.
