I believe that the employee was fired prior to the Castle rumors.

I think they got it straightened out sometime around noon.

But these streaming videos were running earlier today when I was at the site.... Not sure if the two are tied together.

Oh, I know what you mean. The short 2 or 3 minute vids have been there for a while, I first noticed them last night.

As much as I usually dislike the Washington Post, I 've got to give them credit for running this story. PLUS, they have a link embedded with the article to the full 24 minute O'Donnell ad. They didn't have to that, but they did.

Bet it won't make the print edition.

The Post buries all the inconvenient stuff on their website.

I’ve been in broadcasting and no one forgot to run it.
You confirm what Rush said this afternoon.
Vivian Schiller or the station manager told them not do so. Perhaps a call from the White house did the trick.
NPR needs to have all funding from the Feds ended. No ramp down to keep them going until they figure out how to run a private station, no time to adjust, just suddenly...no money.
The article doesn't say "public broadcasting," it says "public access" - different things, I believe.
If so, this doesn't serve as the occasion to support what we both agree is a consummation devoutly to be wished.

Biden today: Reminds me of that picture of the fellow kneeling by Obama’s car...

All the good stuff is on “the forbiden list”... sigh.

Generally...in FReeper land...we ping other FReeper's that you are speaking about. You've been around enough to know that, Prof....but maybe you slipped up here....eh? I'm sure you didn't call me chicken, right? hehe...

That said...I can't even tell by your post...what you actually think.

Are you seriously a Professor? Damn, give me some of what you are drinking. Ha!!

Once again....here's what WAW said...and I am quoting.

"I'm willing to bet any amount of money that you are exactly right.

The "they forgot" line is coming out of O'Donnell's campaign - not the station.

WAW bet..that the line "they forgot" came from the O'Donnell camp...and not the T.V. station..or whomever that was.

Tell me I'm wrong there.

WAW also bet "any amount" of $$ and I called her on it.

What part of this doesn't the casual reader not get?

It's damn obvious...that WAW doesn't like O'Donnell. Anyone can or certainly should see that. It's really laughable to me the extremes you all are going here........

Good luck

Why, on a highly regarded conservative website, would you repeatedly diminish and demean a conservative candidate and her campaign the day before the election? Couldn't it at least wait 'til Wednesday? What's your point?

That's what I've been doing. I went off on her a few weeks back, after the Im You ad. Decided to just sit on my hands about it til after election day.

The WaPo cut the spokesman's comment off in mid sentence.

And we know this how? And please don't say because of the comma following the quote.

Of course I won't say that the comma followed the quoted, because the comma PRECEEDED the end quote.

As I said...

The WaPo cut the spokesman's comment off in mid sentence and it's this quote that is the basis of your point.

That comma is the punctuation of the larger sentence - it does not indicate a partial quote.

As in:

"That comma is the punctuation of the larger sentence - it does not indicate a partial quote," wrote a FReeper named wide-awake.

Because Texas remembers what it is like to be free...

I pray to God you're right! We may need that resolve in the very near future.

GOD BLESS TEXAS!!!   ;^)
