MIAMI — Arturo Ortiz-Soto, the sushi-chef rapist who terrorized South Beach women for two years, is going to prison for 40 years.
The 31-year-old former chef pleaded guilty Monday to raping two women and attempting to rape two others. He will be deported to his native Guatemala when he is released from prison.
``You have irreparably changed the lives of your victims by your behavior,'' Miami-Dade Circuit Judge Ellen Sue Venzer told him. ``I do believe this sentence will sufficiently guarantee you do no more harm to our citizens.''

Wife and I used to go to Benihana every few weeks back when we were single, we really enjoyed the place.
Well, a few kids later, the cost of going was just prohibitive, but we did manage to sneak away on our anniversary last year, and went back.
What struck us was all the knife slinging chefs were Latino. They used to be all Japanese, but they were all Latino, and their English was very poor.
It was not a good experience. We wanted the humor we used to get from a Japanese guy tossing knives around, Asian humor is interesting, and it seemed the whole experience was a let down.
I guess a sign of the times. Don’t get me wrong, we go to Mexican and Tex-Mex as well, and I would be disappointed for some reason if all the staff at our favorite Mexican restaurant was Polish or Irish. I can’t explain why, its just that way, heh.
If he rapes women in Gutamala they will turn his you know what into sushi.

It’s a crazy mixed up world. I see Mexicans cooking at the Greek place, Vietnamese cooking at taco bell, Never have seen a Japanese at the steak house, they’re all Indonesian and Viets have also opened a Thai place in town.
One thing is certain and is comforting, the rednecks still do the cooking at the mom/pop diners/cafes out in the sticks.
