I'm a protestant, American. Why in the hell do I care about anything at all to do with islam. As a matter of fact, I don't even consider it a religion...it's a cult.

But in the interest of fairness, I also am not interested in learning Jewish Doctrine, Catholic Doctrine, LDS Doctrine, Buddist Doctrine, or the names of the seven dwarfs.

I don't know why we get doused with this islamic nonsense day after day from the media. I learned all I ever want to know about muslims on 9/11.

And yes, I AM being intolerant, not out of hate, but because I have long-since chosen my religion and my belief system and I'm just not freakin' interested in yours or any others...period. I don't answer the door for Jehovah witnesses and I have no use for a koran.

It’s exactly people with your attitude that will allow islam to overcome America. Using your flawed logic, we should have ignored Nazism and Shintoism in WII. WAKE UP MAN!

How can we fight the enemy, unless we know the enemy. The more we as a country know about Islam, the more resolute we should become in fighting it.

We aren’t at war with Jews, Catholics, LDS’, Buddhists, Hindus, etc.

We aren’t “technically” at war with Islam either. Doesn’t mean they aren’t at war with us.

I certainly agree on the fact of not converting, whosoever knows what he believes has no problem with somehow becoming converted to a religion. But where my genuine disagreement comes regarding the issue of Islam is far more about how rediculously imbalanced and deserving of criticism our politicians are when they speak of it. I feel that Obama’s statements are exaggerations, and in some cases lies. Don’t get me wrong, this is far from being my only disagreement with him, but the REAL PROBLEM is with the favoritism that European and American politicians have shown to Muslims in the past few years more than Muslims themselves.
