OAKLAND -- An Alameda County Superior Court election remained undecided Wednesday, with Victoria Kolakowski - who would become the nation's first transgender judge - holding a slight lead over John Creighton.
Kolakowski, an administrative law judge for the state Public Utilities Commission, led Creighton, a deputy district attorney, by 50.22 to 48.77 percent, or 3,300 votes out of 230,000 total votes cast, the county registrar's office reported.
All precincts have reported, but provisional ballots and late-arriving mail ballots were still being tallied.

Judicial elections are supposed to be non-political, but Kolakowski is running on the Granola Party platform.
Couldn’t-be-better-timing-bump...
Let me guess-—he, she, it is a DemoRat!
If s/he doesn’t get the most votes, s/he should just take office anyway. In gender-bender CA, I’m sure that would be perceived as justice by all but an increasingly powerless minority of the public.
“She had sex reassignment surgery in 1991 and married her partner, a woman, after the state Supreme Court declared same-sex marriages legal in 2008.”
If she was a he, then he became a she, then as a she she married another she...does that make her straight or gay now?
*scratches head*
So, explain this to me. Does a judge who is a transgendered whatever wear a robe or not?
To be at the mercy of a judge who actually thinks he is the wrong sex . . .
This person is legally married as one’s gender is defined at birth.
He was born a male and then married a female.
Just another traditional marriage.
Ahhhh! I just threw up a little.
You'd think this would be a tip-off that his judgment was a wee bit suspect.
“If she was a he, then he became a she, then as a she she married another she...does that make her straight or gay now?”
That is some really strange math as far as I am concerned! It just don’t add up!
I'm firmly convinced that there are confused perverts who want to be the opposite sex in order to "transgender" in the other direction (into what they are now.) Don't try to think about it, just take my word for it.
Not guilty!!
