You know all that talk about whether Keith Olbermann would ever be back on MSNBC?
Well whoever speculated about that (me) was totally off Olbermann will return to Countdown Tuesday night. From Phil Griffin, President of MSNBC:
After several days of deliberation and discussion, I have determined that suspending Keith through and including Monday nights program is an appropriate punishment for his violation of our policy. We look forward to having him back on the air Tuesday night.
So basically he was suspended for two shows, and four days (counting the weekend). That seems like an amazingly short amount of time for what was called an indefinite suspension. As you can imagine, well have more on this tomorrow

I understand why MSNBC has the rule.
Since these contributions are made public, it would be awfully embarrassing and a real attack on the network’s liberal bonafides if Mr. Olbermann were caught donating to a conservative candidate.
But since they already knew what it was up front, it was a no foul straight up.
The problem is they need to intervene to increase his intelligence.
Where would the slime network be without the snot?
No way! The whole thing was a carefully planned PR stunt, in order to get the (bad) Ted Baxter impersonator some news time.
Pretty much the same as the "New Coke" PR stunt, which generated a lot of fresh interest in Coke, as well as generating lots of news stories.

Truth probably is that they really couldn't find anybody to replace him that was as good as him in the much needed 'vitriolic liberal spew' and 'hate mongering' categories.
“Indefinite” means “not definite.” It could be forever, a year, a day, an hour. Did anyone really believe he wouldn’t be back quickly?
They had to put him back because they couldn’t find a replacement who hadn’t donated to the democrat party.
Ethics and MSNBC..... one of these things is not like the other, one of these things just isn’t the same.
Marxist publicity stunt.
They’re hoping for ratings from his minuscule audience but that might only work for Tuesday and then what to do after that?
Glenn Beck has been talking about a good show he put together about Soros - on Tuesday.

Wont matter. Hell either get a promotion and/or be back on the air within the week, or will get a plum job as Spooning-Obama Czar.
This was a stunt pure and simple. I thought this was the case when this story first made headlines. They accomplished 2 things. 1)Taking the attention away from election results and 2)Getting publicity to Keith Olberman (most people have no clue or have ever heard of this nutbag) and in their mind, hopefully gain a couple of new viewers.
I’ll admit I thought he was gone for good...that the “suspension” was a polite way of saying he had been fired.
As I recall, Pete Rose was banned indefinitely by the commissioner. He said he would reconsider the decision in one year, which his successor did. He reconsidered the decision and continued the ban which lasts to this day.
Whether their alleged policy is right or wrong is irrelevant - if K-O violated it, he deserves to be punished.
Of course, you could argue that a long weekend, even without pay, is not exactly "punishment".
But that's their business.
Publicity stunt.. when did MSNBC have an values?..
He promised to wear Pampers on the set to pacify the union janitors.
