Nov. 9 (Bloomberg) -- Job openings in the U.S. dropped in September for a second month, signaling a sustained labor market rebound will take time to develop, a government report showed.

Openings decreased by 163,000 to 2.93 million, the Labor Department said today in Washington. The number of people hired rose from the prior month and separations declined.

The unemployment rate was 9.6 percent for a third month in October even as payrolls increased 151,000, Labor Department figures showed last week. Growth in the world’s largest economy may need to quicken before enough jobs are created to make up for the recession-driven loss of more than 8 million positions.

No, no, no. This can't be right. A loss of 8 million jobs doesn't have an impact on a persons ability to get a job. Everyone knows that all the unemployed have to do is get off their lazy @sses and go get a job. Lots of jobs out there so there is no need to panic and rush the “creation” of jobs.

No, it signals that the number of jobs is declining, period.

Saying there's a rebound when there isn't is a lie.

So, Obama, how is devaluing the dollar going to help the job situation?

H1-B Visas are killing American jobs:

Illegal immigration and the new terrorism threat collide

According to the Labor Department's 2006-2011 Strategic Plan notes; "H-1B workers may be hired even when a qualified U.S. worker wants the job, and a U.S. worker can be displaced from the job in favor of the foreign worker."

Only if you're seeking work in Mexico, China, India, (you get the point...):, Just about everything money can buy is made somewhere other than America. We need to get our manufacturing back here one way or the other.... My husband and I will not buy foreign made goods if we can buy from an American supplier (and even then, most of the time there's no way to tell where the company bought it's material/ingredients):

General Motors sends Mr. Goodwrench to sidelines

General Motors is asking Mr. Goodwrench to pack up his toolbox. The mechanic who served as the symbol of GM's dealer service brand for 37 years will be scrapped as of Feb. 1 in favor of "certified service" brands for each of GM's remaining four remaining nameplates, the company said Tuesday.
