I’m a bit contorted about the whole affirmative action thing.
One one hand, I hear stories of schools that have strict limits on admissions, and black youths who just barely don’t make the grade. Sometimes very promising youths.
On the other hand, you hear about schools that get some very good teachers in, next thing you know, they are getting 87% graduation rates. In the ghettos.
And truthfully, I honestly doubt that there is a single black youth in this country who COULD NOT go to college if they really applied themselves and wanted to.
So much of it is cultural, the gang mentality, smart kids getting dissed all the time...
But diversity JUST FOR THE SAKE OF DIVERSITY is such an retarded idea it’s ridiculous, because it ignores the social dynamics going on.
