Time to move inland...
Oh, you’re crazy, blah blah blah. Just thought I would get in early. ;) (just kidding)
Yikes! If those Swedes ever decide to go Viking again, we are in TROUBLE!;)
And if we could, would we tell anybody? Or would we let this "undetectable" technology be sold around the world instead?
The author seems have been very liberal with his facts. The Swedish navy doesn’t have a sub called the NemoSaltadSobrius-the sub they sent was the HMS Gotland. Even the NBC report mentions that.
About the Chinese, for one they don’t need to get anywhere near the continental US to launch a missile attack. They have nuclear-powered subs which have tested and are probably equipped with missiles with a range in excess of 5,000+ miles.
I’m pretty sure the designs were stolen or bought a long time ago, possibly even improved upon.
Sometimes a technological advancement can be utilized in ways not in any conventional manner.
Our foreign enemies have shown that they can adapt ANY new idea to a perverted means and way of destruction.
Anything, even if it meant placing a nuke inside a live whale and using an electronic stimulus to send into the San Fransisco bay.
I'm willing to admit that I don't know what I don't know, and that the poster who told me that could be entirely correct. But..... stories like this one cause me to consider that someone may have a technological edge on us in the stealth area.
That's why this story won't die. There just isn't enough solid data to debunk it. Too many uncertainties exist in the public mind, which reflects directly on our government, whose job it is to keep us safe from harm.
I think that folks see the rot in every nook and cranny of our country, and wonder to themselves if that rot hasn't infected our military and diminished its capacity so badly, that this "missile launch" actually could have happened.
Didn't we just observe the one year anniversary of the Ft Hood massacre? Haven't we seen that much of the top brass is hopelessly compromised with political correctness? Don't we have a CIC who shouldn't even be playing with toy soldiers, let alone making life and death decisions about the lives of our fighting forces?
I don't know. My confidence ain't what it used to be. I'm still not convinced that someone didn't sneak a sub off our coast and fire off a missile to warn us of something.
Be prepared to hand over the Lutfiske.
Headline: “Chinese sub pops up in middle of U.S. Navy exercise, leaving military chiefs red-faced”
Put this together with obummer having taken so much of our Pacific fleet to guard his butt in Indonesia - good likelihood that left a hole on our shore - perfect timing for SOMEONE to lob a shot across our bow.
this ret. sec. of defense views the video and declares it is, indeed a missile. Names the kind of missile - and from a sub. But then he obfuscates and says it's undoubtedly one of our - that we were letting Asia know we could do it.
AH, Asia and the rest of the world ‘know’ we can do it - we have been for many years. And what would firing one off 40 miles from our own shore prove?

the government and other elitists really think we're all a bunch of blithering idiots out here. ‘gun toting, Bible thumping....” - and what did Karl Rove say about the newly elected Tea Party folk? Something about he doubted they could read or had passports....
I worry far more about Chinese growing ability to hack our computer infrastructure, steal what and when they want, upload viruses for future deployment, electronically collapse our ability to defend ourselves and on and on and ...
Long years ago I witnessed a missile launch from a sub off the coast of Cocoa Beach Florida. Most of us sitting on the beach when this thing rose out of the sea was heartstopping.
Until that missile rose up out of the sea many people didn’t realize there was a sub base right off the coast there.
Just remarking that it is possible a sub sent up that missile.
Isn’t Sweden a Muslim nation now?
Australian submarines have been ‘sinking’ US warships in exercises since at least 2003, and we’re not the only ones. The USN is very, very good at what it does, but it’s not the only one - and even if you’re the best that doesn’t mean you always get 100%.
If somebody almost as good as you is having a really good day, at the same time, you’re having an ordinary one...
The ChiComs already have the capacity: China's Jin-class SSBN
The word is that a Chi-Com sub knocked out the cruise ship power systems with a new EMP weapon. A shot across Obamas bow. The missile was an American attack sub on a training mission taking a shot at the Chi-com. whether they got him ..unknown. If you check out the cruise ship incident it is very suspicious.
Russian submarines have been plying the waters of Puget Sound for years and even using lazers aimed at incoming aircraft to Seattle-Tacoma Airport.
This is a very good article. Of course the screaming media is going along with the company line, “this is nothing”.
