homosexualty and abortion are not “social issues”. They are moral and ethical issues (issues of right and wrong) which cannot be overlooked because they undermine and attack what America is and stands for.
A real social issue? How do we treat our poor?
homosexualty and abortion are not social issues.<<<<
Get the fing government out of the social engineering
buisness!! Leave the moral choices to the individual and get the slop out of the schools!

“They are moral and ethical issues (issues of right and wrong) which cannot be overlooked because they undermine and attack what America is and stands for.”
Exactly! Anyone with functioning neurons knows we have to focus on the economy due to the severity of the problem....but we do NOT turn our backs on the serious ethical issues which emanate from the philosophical principles upon which a healthy society is based.
Nobody doesn’t think abortion and queers are important. But let’s face it: if we end up with an elite ruling class and an underclass scrambling for crumbs, we aren’t going to be in a position to call any shots about abortion or queers. We will have no voice at all.
What people care the most about is their own fiscal survival. Restoration of the free market, limited government and fiscal responsibility will bring them that survival. The issues you cite are beyond our reach right now in terms of advancing our agenda. We should stand pat for the time being.

You are 100% correct here. This needs to be the standard response whenever the pro-death and/or fudgeback crowd pulls this nonsense.
Welcome to FR, barefoot.
There is a perfect example of troll behavior. Derail the discussion to the "poor" swamp.
When almost 50% of the population does not pay income taxes and also gets welfare, it is part of the problem, and a subject for its own thread.
Right now the two key issues is freeze spending while things are sorted out and the second issue is freeze and reverse taxes.
Begone with your "how we treat our poor" BS.
When it becomes compulsory, it is no longer charity!
