College transcripts, employment record, legislative records etc are pertinent to the public’s desire for knowledge of a politician’s acumen to lead in a democratic Republic.
Knowing the politician’s waist size, family laundry schedule and household rules on teenage dating, not so much.
Honestly, you can learn a lot about a person just by looking at how their family is run.
Most politicians HIDE that stuff. Either because of skeletons in their closets, or because there is something they don’t want the public knowing/seeing.
Palin is an open book, and THAT right there is a huge difference between her and every other politician in America.

Why do I think a quick google search of both would turn up the latter before the former?
