My nephew’s on a full ROTC scholarship and he attends this college. He likes the program, plus the location is wonderful. Dahlonega is a beautiful little town.
I am an NGCSU graduate from some years ago and get more proud of it every day.
And up North, the real deal with a very similar outlook and great success is Norwich University, founded in 1819 — the oldest private 4-year military school in the Nation.
I know quite a few Citadel Grads that will take exception to your claim of “ West Point of the South”
Hear, hear.
They consistently outperform Citadel cadets in head to head competition at Ft Lewis each summer, in fact I dont know of any time Citadel has finished ahead of NGCSU. Even my summer camp class of ‘75 at Ft Bragg finished first.
Sorry, big costs and extreme regimentation dont translate into the best officers, the Army isnt that way and never has been.
I should have added VMI as well. VMI and Citadel are nearly identical in their procedures and outlook.
Awwww sounds like someone took the easy route. It’s ok, some people are just weak.
Great logic. When you finish in the pack each year like The Citadel does, I guess the view doesnt change much.
