RYE — A local grandmother’s Nov. 12 wardrobe choice of cargo pants with zippers made her victim of the federal government’s new full-body pat-down searches at airports.
Diane Bitter said she was passing through Manchester Airport en route to Arizona last Friday when her pants zippers triggered a metal detector.
“Of course you can’t just take your pants off,” she said, explaining she was then directed to step aside for an “insane” inspection.
“Right out in the middle of everything,” a female airport screener began patting Bitter’s body in places she did not expect.
“She touched my private parts,” said Bitter.
Pressed for details, the 67-year-old Rye Beach resident said the airport employee put her hands inside the waistband of her pants, felt around her waist, passed her hands over both her breasts, and rubbed her hands up and down the insides of her legs - “twice in front and twice in back.”
“As it got more invasive, I thought, ‘why am I consenting to this?’” she said. “It was totally humiliating.”
Bitter said after the screener “finished feeling me all over,” she removed a pair of blue latex gloves, rubbed them with “a detecting pad,” put the gloves into a machine and got a reading clearing Bitter for hazardous substances.
“I didn’t hang around to see if anyone else got the treatment,” she said.
Bitter, a frequent traveler, said if she knew in advance what was going to happen at Manchester Airport that morning, she would have made a different wardrobe selection.
“I’m certainly not going to wear those cargo pants again. I promise you that,” she said. “I’ll wear pajamas.”

How long before we read about people who DO just take off their pants? Of course they’ll arrest YOU for that!
I can only pray that the TSA’s intimidation tactics will turn more liberals into Conservatives. Nobody can blame Bush for what is happening today.

Because that would be a strip search and without warrant, they might face legal challenge.
These are VIRTUAL strip searches and they believe they are in the clear.

In less than ten years’ time, our government has gone from mounting preemptive military strikes and intelligence missions to kill terrorists before they got on our airplanes… to no longer even calling terrorists by that name, while offering them civil court trials, free legal counsel, and full constitutional protections.
Instead, our government blindly insists that all American citizens must undergo humiliating and intrusive body searches and x-ray scans, in order to avoid having to deal with the politically-incorrect reality that virtually every international act of terror in the past 40 years has been committed by young Muslim men between the ages of 18 and 45.
Everyone should start wearing a swimsuit under their clothes....and strip down for the “search”

Right now, I have a huge argument on my FB page with liberal friends. They think this is FINE AND DANDY. Believe me, they are in the tank.
You have touched on the correct path. Men should have prostate exams, testicular cancer checks. We could combine Obamacare with this and save tons of money. Anyone screening positive could be scheduled on flights with unchecked moslems. Take care of two expensive items at a time.
I’m about to get on a plane - and if necessary, I shall ask to be patted down by the hunkiest guy in uniform. I just don’t want to be groped by a same-sex pervert.
I know that TSA employees are not villains - they are most likely fathers & mothers - just regular folks conscripted as reluctant warriors. But, justin case;(

Wrong response ma'am. Do you see how the sheeple just take it. Instead of fighting back, her response is how she can submit to an abuse of power in a less disruptive way. Hey Granny, why not just bring along some leg-irons and beat the rush. I swear - people just take it. If we ALL fight back, the TSA is toast. This is only happening becaue our Nazi government anticipates a general surrender by the sheep who surrendered to government power every other time.
We REALLY need a revolution in this country. I am constanly having my rights surrendered by stupid idiot sheep who keep surrending my rights by surrendering theirs. They keep shooting holes in my lifeboat an there is not a better lifeboat to hop in here in the middle of the freezing Ocean. Where am I going to go when the USA goes socialist? To Australia? To Switzerland? I have nowhere else to go while the sheep shoot holes in our lifeboat and give away MY RIGHTS.
