A Mom's Message For the TSA -- Don't Touch My KIDS!
Fox News ^ | 11/19/2010 | Peggy Young Nance

Posted on 11/19/2010 8:56:20 AM PST by markomalley

I am afraid to fly with my family these days. Not because I am afraid of crashing, but because I am afraid of being arrested for assault. The viral YouTube video of the terrified three-year-old being given an invasive body search by a rough Transportation Security Administration (TSA) agent is outrageous and alarming.

Trust me, if that were my beautiful, modest thirteen-year-old daughter being intimidated and groped, I couldn’t be held responsible for my actions. I have had two children, and my modesty level at this point in life is pretty minimal, but someone touching my kid is another story. That person is likely to get their eyes scratched out, TSA Agent or not. I am not kidding: Moms won’t abide someone messing with our children. Keep the cameras ready; it’s only a matter of time before one of us snaps. Hope it’s not me.

Are we so politically correct that we are downright stupid?

Yes. And I can't think of a single useful thing to do about it right now.

Whooops, above link I left from Mike Adams is not for kids ... it is adult-themed and some adults may frown on it as well ...

I highly recommend re-reading the history of Germany in the 1930’s and the techniques used against the German citizens/Jews before they realized evil had taken over.

If memory serves, the Jews didn't have much choice in the matter. I do. I can either put up with the TSA or I can not fly. I'm choosing to do the later.

Is terrorism winning?

911, Immigration, borders, PC, Americans in-fighting, searches/seizures, falss alarms, security everywhere, TSA, CAIR/ACLU, restricted freedom of movement/speech, Ft Hood, Christmas Day, Times Sq, other attempts, NYC trials . . .

Correct me if I am wrong, but aren’t all cockpit doors armored? Aren’t they to remain closed during the entire flight? Why the hell are we doing this if there is NO WAY to get into the cockpit? Previous experience has shown that if anyone starts anything, the passengers will take care of it and even if they don’t, there is no way to commandeer the aircraft.

Those are truly the only choices you could come up with?
What about when it’s “I can either put up with the TSA or not take the bus/train.”?
What about when it’s “I can either put up with the TSA or not drive”?
Pretty soon, you’re down to “I can either put up with the TSA or just stay in my house”.

Baaaaaa!

Explosives.

AIT technology does not detect explosives. Especially in body cavities. Dogs do.

The powers that be have always contended our rules of engagement in Iraq and Afgahnistan created new terrorists. How can those same powers that be possibly think the newest TSA groping won’t have a severe backlash with the traveling American public?

I think you missed her point, old FRiend. She doesn't care if she gets scanned. She cares if her 14-year-old gets the virtual strip-down. And she does want the results on YouTube.

The new TSA security measures are a personal violation, degrading and border on sexual assault especially when used on children. However, worst of all they are ineffective. The TSA readily admits that these new nude viewing devices will not detect explosives hidden in body cavities, a technique already used by Islamic terrorists. The application of these screenings for reasons of political correctness will likely not be applied to anyone showing up in Muslim garb (I agree with Juan Williams that makes me uneasy.) Further the long lines for TSA screening could be an inviting target for terrorists as no one is screened when entering the airport. Terrorists attacking people waiting in airports was done as far back as 1972. The TSA obviously also does a poor job of screening cargo that can go on passenger airplanes

The TSA employees themselves give me the impression of being ill trained and sometimes less than professional. The only real security in a screening area is usually a lone police officer. What would happen if the TSA really did detect a passenger with a bomb? My guess would be utter panic.

The TSA provides little more than than the appearance of security under Inspector Clouseau leadership. Why won't we emulate Israel who has perfected virtually airtight airport security?

And when we have to get scanned at every stadium, courthouse, church, school, bus station, train station?
Sounds familiar.

“They came first for the Communists,
and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Communist.

Then they came for the trade unionists,
and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a trade unionist.

Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Jew.

Then they came for me
and by that time no one was left to speak up.”

This famous statement is attributed to Pastor Martin Niemöller (1892–1984) about the inactivity of German intellectuals following the Nazi rise to power and the purging of their chosen targets, group after group. (Wikipedia)
