Given that these are two of the highest rated talk guys in the biz, it only makes sense if they’re ditching the talk format completely and going to something different, which happened to one of our talk stations here in D.C.

Some other station will pick them up. This is what is known as “suicide by cancellation” in the media. They will lose this audience to their competition. Too bad.

Sounds like a great opportunity FOR ANOTHER STATION!
I would love to hear them on FM and/or satellite.
It irks me when I lose signal driving around

Sean is a little light on original content except for a month before the election.

Same thing happened with Rush here, it was cancelled WRKO 640 AM and picked up AM 1200 who changed their name to “Rush Radio” and are now > WRKO. I only listen to RKO for Howie Carr now.

Both will be far better with an FM station with power, rather than on a crummy AM station. The East Coast is horrible for AM radio anyway, especially at night.

They are going with cheaper local talent. Besides, Hannity is awful. Beck is the best thing on radio along with Rush and Levin.

The same thing happened here (Greensboro,NC) a few months back. Rush was seemingly dropped by the local AM station. There was outrage against the station initially.
It turned out that the station didn't want to lose Rush. He had decided to set up his own network on FM -- Rush Radio. Beck, Hannity and Rush moved to this new format. The poor AM station lost their best shows.
I would bet the same thing is happening in this case.

The so called Big Talker has a crappy signal. The Allentown right wing radio WAEB 790 has a better signal. 790 is the Allentown station Rush sites when talking about owning that market. This will be the death of 1210. Micheal Squshconish is a rabid Obummer supporter and the local guys they are using suck. Good luck 1210.

I've been connecting to that station via my iphone to listen to Beck and Hannity’s third hour if I have been away from my computer, as these are not available over the air in the metro Detroit area. (That I know of, at least.) I have not been able to do so for the past few days. I might as well delete that station from my “Favorites” list.

The reception is so horrible I never bother with it anymore. At home I can get WDEL, but the signal is just as noisy. For the past couple of years I’ve streamed Rush, Hannity, etc. through my phone instead.

Not a very smart decision. I’m sure another Philadelphia station can’t wait to pick up both shows and the additional ratings and revenue that go along with carrying them.

I've always had this picture of everyone in Philadelphia tuning in to American Bandstand every afternoon.
My guess is that some competing station will pick up the conservative talk radio audience. Why, they're probably changing the buttons on their car radios already. 1210am “Big Talker”? Not so much any more, I'll bet. Lots of recipes for scrapple and cheeze steaks, traffic and weather.
