I gave up on this magazine when, like so many others, it decided to let its writers (primarily the excreable
Owen Gleiberman and
Mark Harris, but also many others) start inserting off topic lefty political screeds and attacks on conservatives and family values into the content.

I gave up on EW for the same reason. IIRC, it was about halfway through Bush’s first term that I got fed up with them and got rid of it.
Frankly, I’m surprised they’re still around. I’d forgotten the magazine even existed, which is amazing to me since I used to love it back in the 90’s.

Same here. Back in my college days watching "Friends" and "Seinfeld," I couldn't wait to get EW in the mail (I was a subscriber). Then the magazine completely took a dump with the leftist BS and I dropped it and told them why.
But yes, EW was a great magazine, I especially liked their summer movie section.

I, too gave up on it after almost 15 years. Been at least 8 years since I had a subscription.
